Recommended by Roman..

- Nandroid
- Wipe
- Flash ROM
- Flash GApps available from build page
- Reboot

But i guess u can try without wiping..Remember to perform Nandroid first just in case it doesnt work out..

Yeah. They finally got it right with the smoothness in ICS. It seems like there is some truth when developers say the GB launcher sucks and cannot squeeze out anymore performance. :s13: Waiting for andersweb to release a new ADW EX based on ICS. Knowing his handiwork, it's going to be epic. He already can squeeze this much performance from the old launcher, who knows what he can do in the new ICS one.

I have always told my friends no matter how smooth android gets, apple still has the best feel for smoothness. but now I seem to stand corrected. Just go get a nexus! No need wait for others to make ics available in other phones.. even stock feels pretty nice already..

What do you mean ? In the SMS options of the phone ? or in the app ? Would love to get more details...

In the SMS Backup & Restore app itself. Look for Settings or Preferences.

On top of that, you still have your usual multi-tasking capabilities.

Android will still feel less smooth even with nexus, because it lacks the 'bouncy' effect of iphone when you scroll to the end of a thread.

iphone's acceleration and deceleration when you scroll also feels more natural than android :o

How can I test the nfc function? I installed farebot then place my mrt card on the left side of phone near the 3 metal pins. But nothing seems to happen for a long time.

Huh? Just tap the back of your phone like how you use an ezlink card. Make sure your card also not an Everyday or Citibank card.

thank you for the advise. i shall stick to stock rom to 'experience' the original for a while before switching..
Actually all custom roms are stock experience. In fact its even more smooth than stock. You should try it. No regrets I assure you

I don know if it's me only or what..I cannot send SMS out to anyone now since 5.30pm today. I'm on Singtel and using both Stock SMS and Handcent SMS..all got error in sending out. I have rebooted amd still the same. I'm rooted and bootloader unlock, on Google 4.0.2 stock rom, not our local Samsung rom. I have another Singtel line on Iphone3 and it can send out. Btw, I can receive SMS but no sending out..any advise? My Nexus is local warranty type. Thanks.

APN: Sunsurf
Username: 65
Password: (Blank)

And the one i provided u with was dbl confirm with M1 by my fren recently..

btw, how do u determine if it is working or not?

i turned off wifi and tried accessing the internet.

oh but I managed to get it working! I called in and the CSO sent me an email with the different settings for internet and mms access points. They were the same as what you had provided me.

But this time round i restarted the phone and it worked. i shd have do a reboot way before haha!

thanks for your help Gixxerfied! :D
