Glass is glass and will shattered no doubt, but there are different class of glass. Comparing the Gnexus glass, well it is fortified glass as compare to gorilla glass, sure it will be more fragile. ;)

if u already removed the lockscreen but still can't wake by volume then too bad, u gota root n flash custom roms. I did read somewhere that a dev gave some instructions to enable vol to wake on a rooted stock rom but i tried it myself and didn't work.

End of the day no difference. You drop it, gorilla or what named crap, it still shatters depending on luck. :) maybe the iPhone fools will feel better (strange they would think that before it was revealed that iPhones used gorilla glass).

It's actually quite funny. Last time Apple say they used special glass, then others say not gorilla glass will break easily, as shown by many users. Now it's revealed to be gorilla glass, apple fans say others not using gorilla glass break easily - when it's proven, gorilla glass or not, it breaks regardless. The reality distortion field is still strong I see. :)

That which we call a Gorilla glass by any other name would still shatter as artfully when dropped along its edge!

Anyone managed to register warranty on Samsung's site? They don't have the galaxy nexus listed under the models they have.

More like "iphone user....Y U ALL NO BRAINS."

Cannot think one....last time no Gorilla glass tiam tiam. Now know Gorilla glass liao ya ya papaya. But nothing changes the fact - they all shatter just as easily. :D

Ya..I m not proud to just share my experience. Yup I m a clumsy and dropped my nexus. Ouch. Well the floor is rougher than the tar road. But did not crack my screen. Deep scratches on the edge. I think dropping my phone is like rolling a dice.. even or odd. Other than large screen which poses a major weakness for impact, I m impress with the phone and its overall build. Anyway talking a gorilla glass, I heard rumours that nexus is not equipped due to its curve structure.
