Why can't we just accept the possibility this new quadcore setup might just be newer and better in the things that matter? The last time people said the same things of dualcore, and look where it got them. My HTC Desire had poorer battery life compared to the Samsung S2, and yet the performance gap was vast.

Most evident in the Sony forums, before they finally decided to switch to dualcore. I've not been there for some time, but I'm pretty sure there are some hermits there arguing against the progress to quadcore again.
