I am not sure is this the right forum to ask?
As the subject, an iphone user used to share the real time location PERMANENTLY to an Samsung Android user. However, off lately, the Android user keeps saying the iphone user's location is not updated. Iphone user has done the setting eg "saved" the real time sharing in the Google map unit it is "turn it off" but problem stilll exists. Also, iphone user needs constantly to click sharing despite iphone user has saved it (ie "turn it off") as it keeps going back to "share 1 hour" option. Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

At least someone has the similar issue like me. Thank you for responding to my thread. It is seriously pains in the neck that I need to keep repeating that sharing process. I hope one day this can be resolved soon? I hope some kind soul can relate this apple developer or capture their attention. Thanks.

Lemme see if I get you right...I am presuming you (a Samsung phone user) want to be able to keep seeing the location of the other person's iPhone, via the Google Map app. In another word you want to keep track of that person, a iPhone user, where he/she is at any one time.

I hope you have the consent of the other person (oh yes of course you will probably say yes, he/she knows about it blah blah).

Anyway, are you aware that Apple has this thing about privacy? I got a feeling that it's probably a feature of the updated Google Map in Apple's app ecology.

Yes you constantly going to the iPhone's settings to enable 'share location' is a bitch (while he/she is at toilet? :p)...but have you consider gifting him/her a Android phone instead? Then you can spy...oops sorry track him/her to your heart's content.
