Is there any other way besides valuebasket though? I'm not comfortable ordering from them.

I'm still trying to weigh the pros and cons between shipping in the Nexus 10 via CGW or just buying a local SS Note 10.1 from Whymobile

Would you share what are your concerns with valuebasket? They're in my list should I'm sourcing an export set.

Item arrived damaged or lost/missing are my feelings of insecurity with shipping in from overseas. Additional to that, though some retailers do refunds/returns/insured etc, I still dislike the hassle and time consuming in the process to work out solution. :)

Personally I'm just a low risk taker. Valuebasket to me is a "non-secure" entity. I don't really know who they are, and aside from a few anecdotal sharings, I can't find very much feedback on them locally. Damaged/missing items are a huge concern, and there's no real assurance of replacement if so. I haven't done much research on their warranty provisions, but even if they're tightly drafted, who knows what experience you'll get when things really happen. Go camp their office in Ubi? What to do if it's perpetually shut? Report to CASE? Even so, my $800 is already down the drain.

I've dealt with comgateway before and am very happy with their response times, reliability (they use DHL to ship) etc. Buying from Walmart/Staples should be pretty reliable as they are huge chains in the US and not likely to be fly by night corporations. The risk that something may go wrong (lost/damaged/missing items) is still there, but I think the magnitude of the risk should be much lower with reliable merchants.

That's my humble opinion.

Ended up ordering from someone who's bringing in multiple sets to resell in Marketplace. Will be arriving this weekend :)

On Sat's Straits Times, there is a trade in offer for Nexus 10 by some of the leading IT stores like Challenger, Best Denki, Harvey Norman's .

Trade in tablets and smartphones up to $400 plus an overtrade of $50 and pay $218 to get the Nexus 10.

Can trade in less known brands of handphones and tablets and top up to get the N10?

Anyone tried??

No 3g can thow into dusbin ... why use tablet at home, nonsense
Mobile data here is expensive and limited in bandwidth. If you were to use it outside, what do you usually do with it? Read emails? Surf the web or stream some music and YouTube clips? Nobody is forcing you to buy so keep all KNS comments to yourself...

10 inch tablet are more suitable for home use...as a bedside device...thus wifi is all it needs...

7 inch is more suitable for use on the go than 10inch...to me, those holding their large ipads and ten inch tablets on the train reading or watching movies are idiots..

To each his own... who gave you the right to call others using a 10-inch tablet on a train an idiot?!
