Google Nexus 10

i am finding my N10 getting laggy...kinda irritating until thinking about selling..lol.
Need to clear cache,etc?

Comparing to my ipad and ipad mini, the experience is so 'laggy'.

I think Android is still not there with Apple for tablets..mobile thats another story as I am enjoying my S3 more than any other phones

I have IOS and Android in various sizes and my conclusion/preference is:-


- For mobile phone - Android eg SIII

- For portable phone cum tablet - Android 7" - 8" (since there's no voice calling function on the iPad Mini) eg Galaxy Tabs and Notes

- For 3D games, apps, web-surfing and reading mags/books - iPad 3/4 with retina display

- For HD videos - 10.1" Android tablet with at least 1920 X 1200 (even better if 2560 X 1600) eg Asus Transformer TF700 and Google Nexus 10

so i guess it all depends on intended usage

I heard from Challenger TBP that the N10 3G version is due to be released mid January and that they had stock coming in soon. Anyone else heard similar rumours or was the salesperson inaccurate?

Haha....salesperson know something that even Google doesn't.

As usual, there are so many cannon fairies out there.

That the issue for android....its a open source. Hardware n software marching is critical...just like pc n os.Imagine if apple ony do IOS n open hardware to everyone, would b the same...

I actually prefer my nexus 10 over my iPad 3. Even for browsing. I use Dolphin. I generally find browsing on the Nexus 10 faster than the iPad although the rendering at times have some issues but I blame that on the design of the website and something I can live with. Generally the device is fluid when navigating but it does crashes once in a while but no more than what I experienced on the iPad 3 especially after the upgrade to iOS 6 which I find clunky and kinda regret upgrading to.

Anyone own both nexus 7 and nexus 10 , is this nexus 10 faster ?
Just tried out note 10.1 lte model , visiting hardware zone forum page, replying with the 10.1 , typing on the note is not convenient as compare to the nexus 7 .

I am keen on nexus 10 , but a bit worry on the 10 inch display not much helping like that .

I am Google android products collector. Own all nexus series phone, nexus 7 and Google TV..
So far, I have no disappointment on them, all useful and value for money.
Tempting to get the nexus 10 , using the old Asus transformer, feeling the aging with a lot of jerking .. Insufficient processing power

Nexus 10 is faster, but given how fast the N7 is already, it's all a matter of perspective. Just like my N4 is faster than N7, but I still prefer reading on the N7 as it easier on the eyes and is just big/small enough to be portable.

At the end of the day, the size matters more, especially in this case. The N10 can be a smidgen faster, but if you're not going to bring it around often enough, it's as good as wasted.

Thanks for the quick reply , in fact I hardly take public transport thus no use case of 3g , mainly using it at home for quick browsing , lazy to power up notebook , notebook mainly for long browsing , serious typijg and for work stuff, for home use mainly reading 90% of time.

Then you've pretty much convinced yourself into those specific usage scenarios. Go with your heart then.

For me, I do feel that my Nexus 10 is faster than my Nexus 7, which is faster than my Galaxy Tab 10.1. To add to the mix, I also have the iPad4 and the iPad2, plus another Galaxy Tab 10.1. Not to mention the Samsung Smart ATIV PC Pro. The last is a different beast altogether, and give me more portability than the two Win7 laptops that I have (one of which has a touch screen).

For me, part of the portability has to do with the 3G too. Nexus 10 does not have 3G, but my Nexus 7 has. If I don't want to bring my mifi router with me, I would grab the tablet that has a SIM card. So far, only my iPad4 and one of my Galaxy Tab has a SIM card in each, and I tend to bring these two along most of the time.

Nexus 7 has always been meant to be a low cost product. Got demand then got people sell lor.

Maybe because they bought from the US for US$199 and selling here for S$349? Whoever goes there on holiday can just bring back a few sets since they are so small and light

Personally, i refuse to pay that kind of mark-up. Rather wait for Acer's 7" tablet since their pricing is much fairer

Sitting on fence right now.

I'm a note 2 user, I told myself that note 2 is big enough , yes indeed it is. The battery can last me more than a day. But most of the time I charge every night. I bought note 2 is prevent me from getting nexus 7. If I get nexus 7 I would have gotten S3.

Now backside itchy,wanted to get a nexus 7 or nexus 10. Friend is in the US to pick up one for me. Most of the time I will use it for light browsing, movies. So far this is what I see, I do not own a tablet before hence I do not know how my lifestyle would change.

When I go out I note 2 is enough for me. Didnt have the urge to bring something along.

BTW, nexus 10 any defects that I should take note and how is the smoothness as compared to ipad?

going to complete my Google Android toys collection exercise. Just placed order a Nexus 10 at Play Store..only after complete ordering then realize I updated the billing address for this order..hopefully Google doesnt cancel the order..

The same golden credit card has been used to order 2 Nexus 4 without switching Billing address,dont know why this round ,itchy buttock..go align the billing and ship to address. I have no problem of ship to address different from Billing address.

Dont dare to cancel the order as well..as last time I did and rendered account to useless..keep getting android robot error regardless of what credit card put in.
