The only change of the settings is to reduce the WB to -1. I find the default WB is kinda over-exposed.

Defeats the purpose of slim new N7. IMO cover is very thick and looks ugly.
Better buy Nillkin cover from ebay available for s$19, support uto wake function. Excellent quality from past experience.

Guys, is getting an export nexus 7 2nd gen different compared to future released singapore nexus 7 2nd gen? Is there a difference like in terms of software update or such?


I have never bought from overseas site like amazon or adorama I was thinking of getting nexus 7 2nd gen from them. Is there like a tax fee? Higher postage charge? What about the conversion rate?

Yes, you need to register with cgw first, afterwhich they will issue u an addressee details which your purchase can ship to. Then you make a purchase at amazon with shipping to this said address under cgw.

Barring LTE specifications which differ in countries, nexus device is standard whichever place you bought from. Software update is standard across since they are not subject to manufacturer or telco bloatware. You shouldnt be incurring any US sales tax since most forwarders like CGW is in tax free state. However, singapore GST rules still apply if your shipment value exceed 400SGD.

When i bought mine on tuesday, the conversion rate was 1.337 sgd to 1 usd.
First timer for CGW has some promo. But i guess it has to be DBS or POSB to be eligible for the promo.

when you purchase from amazon your tablet, you pay amazon first then ship it to your U.S address that CGW has provided you with, everyone's is unique.

Then when your tablet reached CGW, they will email you saying it has arrived at their place and you can then wait for other products if any and combine ship or just ship your tablet straight to your spore address and CGW will let you know the charges for shipping only as tablet is already paid for.

Use DBS/POSB cards to enjoy free upgrade from standard to express speeds and also 5% off.
