I just purchase this tablet last saturday and find it very good.
Speed wise its fast, smooth, no lag. And the MX Player I use works fine (which I download from google play store). btw my set is singapore set which I bought from challenger

next I am eyeing for the aluminium keyboard dock which can dock it like a laptop and have a nice physical keyboard. but my nexus 7 does not have screen protector, dunno whether should apply one or not

Eh, 2013 version selling at SG Already? I only saw challenger selling the older sets..

Sometimes when I click on the links it doesn't register. I had to tap multiple times. Otherwise, scrolling is smooth.

Yep, same here. When I turn pages on a pdf or ebook, there is an occasional lack of response or it may take a while to turn the page. The latter may be because the page is filled with graphics so it may be the CPU or video trying render it.

congratz on receiving your nexus 7 how is the quality ? any issues ? such as screen lifted near the bezel ?

I went to the service Centre they say it could be the lcd panel problem or sensor that cause the ghost touch and random reboot if change need 200 or 300 plus gosh

bro why not u check with US Amazon about the issue, I believe if cover by US Amazon one year warranty then ship back and forth it's still worth it. just need to pay for the shipping fees.

Where can i buy nice covers or cases for this devices? Harvey Norman or Challenger sells the usual or official ones that aren't very attractive. I'm currently using the one I got from Open Surface (topped up $5) but the auto on function doesn't work very well..most of the times, the screen remains blank when I flip the cover open.

I am mulling whether to order the Portenzo or Dodo cases online but they cost a bomb..

the auto on issue is Google's problem not the case problem.

Okay, after some experimentation I have concluded:

The issue is directly related to Wi-Fi. If WiFi is disabled or unavailable there will be a variable delay when waking the device using the smart cover. The delay can rarely occur when opening the cover several seconds after closing it, but principally occurs after a few minutes and beyond.
The delay varies in time, but can go up to a minute!
The delay also occurs in Safe Mode, thus the issue is system related.
I have tried with conventional magnets, so the case is not at fault.
Please help me out, the tablet is otherwise flawless and the issue is SO annoying and I do not want to be forced to buy a different tablet. I also recommend a global fix instead of working just with me, as I have demonstrated just how widescope this issue is.

my friend's case also, if in flight mode the screen on is random. if wifi is on, every time you flip on the screen will turn on instantly..

hey guys i have a few questions

i just received my n7 today.. all working well.. bought from amazon 32gb wifi


1) the charger they provide is an america plug head, hence i am using my normal android phone charger, fits well... will this work? or i must use the original charger?
-> my phone plug says: 5v > 1A
> is this plug ok to charge my n7? those who bought from us, where do u guys buy ur local plugs form?

2) i bought a nillkhim case from ebay because i could not direct ship casing from amazon, and i dont know how to use a forwarder, so..

3) i am not keen to buy screen protectors from ebay, but i want a good one professionally done in singapore, anyone knows any place to get? i check with some shops in bedok today and they all dont carry n7 screens... im thinking perhaps challenger or asus official shop?

i have been using 5V1A HTC charger to charge my N7 today.. so its just slower charging? im scared it will spoil my battery - thats what they say, right?


if not what chargers u guys buy? my Amazon set only has american two flat pin head

Well, for me i just prefer to use 1 charger when I'm away from home. Anyway from what I read, use 1A or 2A will not damage the battery/device at all. The device will only draw the sufficient current that is needed.

Ohm's law tells us the relation between current, voltage, and resistance:

I = V / R
(current = voltage / resistance)

Since the voltage is held constant (5V), the only factor that determines current draw is the load (another term for resistance) the device places on the charger. Thus, the device will only draw as much current as it needs and no more.

noted that phone chargers are 5V1A but tablets are usually 5V2A

i also like to bring just 1 charger and i dont need fast charging..

using 5V1A to charge my n7 will just make the charging slower, right? it should not dmg my battery?
