I personally don't like SP... they degrade inconspicuously and you will end up with a dim and cloudy device after a month or two without you ever realizing it. no matter what SP you use...
(if you dun believe me, go ahead and take off the SP from any of your smart device and see for yourself the difference)

And yet, you paid a premium on your hi res display and -quite virtually- scratch proof gorilla glass just to cover it with a cloudy SP... :s22:

So, unless you replace your SP every month or so, using your cloudy display device for the remaining of 1-2 years just to sell it off to the next owner doesn't really make sense imo.

that's my 2c...

Cheers!

So far happy with my N7!! :D
anyone managed to get GPS to toggle on JB 4.3?

Great to see many here enjoying their new toy. Some how, still can't decide if I sure hoot the wifi version or wait for the LTE version.

Another factor is the lack of accessories found locally is holding me back.

open concept

If you are in the area, can drop down 100AM mall at tanjong pagar. I was just in the shop (Open Concept - 2nd floor) playing with the nexus7. Feels awesome! But I will be waiting for the LTE version.

Was quoted $339 for 16gb and $399 for 32gb when I asked if there is any promotional price.

any shop in SG has the screen protector in? willing to pay more for someone to paste it correctly vs getting it on ebay.

Here's just a quick comparison calculation for you:
4G N7 extra cost:
Price 349 - 269 USD = S$100
7% gst charged during shipping = 7%*440 = S$30
getting extra data sim = S$50 (i think this was how much starhub quoted me last time?)
additional S$10/month for let's say 1 year = S$120

total: S$300 more for a year.

I got my N7 with shipping for S$360.

the cost of a wifi only version:
it takes let's say at most 2 minutes to toggle your wifi tethering on your phone when you need it.
if you toggle it around 5 times a day for a year: 2*5*365 = around 60 hours or 2.5 days a year for a good overestimate.
i personally toggle it much less often since i'm at wifi location often and i read on my n7.. that doesn't require 3g..

tldr.
it's your 2 days vs S$300 for a year of n7 use.. :p

anw, my gps is working.. just that you cant "toggle" it without diving into the settings page.. :S

Me too. Never paid for a screen protector before.
I like it naked and RAW, with all the GLORIOUS sensations intact. From my S3 to N7.:D

Maybe get a sleeve or the MoKo case/cover, if worry about putting inside bag.
