Just tried out my new google nexus 7 today, however when compare to my old galaxy tab 7.7, noticed the colour of the nexus 7 is much less vibrant (looks pale), is there any way to correct this?
Or wait for the kernel guys like faux or franco to have their way with the device...their gamma and RGB adjustment tools make my N4 look at vibrant as an AMOLED screen....at least when it's not in total darkness. :D

Amazon used UPS for my package :) yeah faster and cheaper lol

Mine is using UPS as well. But it's taking a huge amount of time from shipping on 26th Aug and estimated delivery on 20th Sep.

Are you ordering 16GB or 32GB.

Mine was 32 GB, if yours is UPS, you should get it quite fast.

FYI, Nexus 7 has one of the best color reproduction for now. Which means it is pretty accurate and close to SRGB.

Tab 7.7 on the other hand uses AMOLED, which is known for their saturated colours / over-vibrant colours.

So stick with Nexus 7 for awhile, and you will get used to the colours. :s22:

ok thanks, looks like I just have to try to get used to the colours =:p

I guess it's individual preferences.
I however really like the color produce by the N7. No adjusting needed.
I actually don't like the default over-vibrant color of my S3, and always set it to the more natural tone.

Good for display purpose, but very unnatural feel.:s22:

It is covered by Asus sg for sure. I called them yesterday because mine keeps rebooting. I'm too lazy to rma to amazon.

They asked for my serial number and told me it is covered internationally.

Can anyone who has bought nexus 7 2013 confirm that it has Singapore local warranty?

Searched the thread, seems like there's no definitive answer yet.

No one really knows as of now i guess..

Cos no sway sin need to RMA yet. Which is a good thing.
It will be covered like the 1st gen. I don't see any reason to worry....;)

edit: guess I jump the gun abit. sway sin above....:D

Personally, I prefer AMOLED for the vibrant colors and power savings ( black colours ) I can't stand "greyish" blacks or "pinkish" reds.

Not using my phone or tablet for colour proofing so it doesn't matter to me if the colour is or isn't accurate.

they told me they need 5-7 working days. It is unlikely i would send that in now. Amazon has already shipped out a replacement for me.

Only thing i need to do is to visit the post office to ship it to amazon. ;)

Amazon shipping to cgw or sg for you? What was your original shipping address?

Amazon covers any return fees? Hope to know more, thanks bro.
