want to ask people who use comgateway a lot,

if we buy this many N7 at once and deliver with comgateway, how will shipping cost stack up? is there like an optimum number to share the shipping cost?
Guys, please go ahead without me. I managed to get a friend to bring one back for me in Oct.

This is based on the assumption that the units will be shipped in individual boxes. It is possible Google may consolidate multiple units into a single box instead, which could lead to slightly more savings. If so, the optimal order number would be the exact number of units in a single carton of these instead.

If it is consolidated, you would inevitably exceed the S$400 which means you would need to add GST to the mix. It would probably only be worth if your savings is more than the GST which you would probably need to pay.

I just grabbed the specs of the LTE off google play, Seem like the US google play LTE does not match our singapore LTE bands.

Damn, just place order, now gonna cancel.

Wireless
Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n
LTE (700, 850, AWS, 1900 MHz)
HSPA ( 850, 900, AWS, 1900, 2100 MHz)
GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Bluetooth 4.0

Good job in pointing that out. Many people are confused on the spec as they look at difference sources but fail to notice there is a difference on LTE.

In all cases, the LTE model will incur GST charges, unless you're able to find someone to hand carry it in, or who will under declare the shipping value for you.

The only savings you can hope for in a mass order is to save on the volumetric weight shipping charge; and there is no guarantee that this will happen.

Bottom line? It's probably not worth the effort.

I received my Nexus 7 today. I ordered on 30 Aug on Amazon and shipped by i-parcel.
The i-parcel tracking system is not real time and always very outdated.
those who haven't receive it, pls have more patient on waiting. I believe it will arrive before estimated date.

My 32GB unit got about 3 tiny dead pixel or dust under screen but I'm happy with it so I'm not going to replace it.

Usually how much does the shipping cost with 3rd party? I am looking to buy the LTE model..

Hard to say. It really all depends on how the vendor packs the item because shippers charges either physical or volumetric weight (whichever is higher).

Comgateway International Shipping | We Ship Anywhere Worldwide to You | U.S. Shipping Company
Based Charges US$11 + US$2.70 (per 500gm).

Vpost Online Shopping & International Shipping, Online Shops
Based Charges S$13.20 + S$3.60 (per 500gm) + S$0.85 (per 500gm Fuel Surcharge)

:s13: I actually doubt this happened - Google is rather famous for not having any live person you can actually speak to.

What number did you call, and where did you find it?

Seems that Google does not want to commit if N7 LTE NA/JP SKU can work on band 3 as there is EU/KR/AU SKU that covers that.

At this time, all we can do is speculate.
Got to wait for the first N7 LTE NA/JP SKU to reach SG and test to confirm.
