are you guys mostly ordering the 16 or 32gb version?
16GB = $290
32GB = $341
Prices are from Amazon x 1.35 exchange - 6% rebate

Is the $51 worth it for the extra space?
How much does the system consume by default out of the box?
Will most likely be using it to surf net, read news (ST android app) and games. This will be my first tablet :D
Usable space left after OS is around 11GB on the Nexus 7 2013 16GB version. It really depends on what stuff you're going to install on your tablet. I myself find 16GB is more than enough because I have all my music, movies and photos stored in cloud storage. The games I played are casual games and won't take up over gigs of memory space.

those who buy from amazon, was your nexus 7 sealed when you receive it? Mine came in a yellow envelope, but when i open it, the nexus box was in a clear plastic bag that's cut open, and the nexus box is not shrink-wrapped.

It was never shrink-wrapped to begin with, the seal is on the box itself after you slide it out from the cover. Yes that's how amazon package it mostly, might come in a huge box with lots of US air when they feel like it. :o

$51 is just a small amount for double the space, definitely worth it. Games, movies, music etc very fast the space will be used up.

hahaha true mine is still in US lol reach carrier facility on 10 sept lol my casing also haven arrive yet

Maybe yours will be faster than mine. I email iparcel and they told me my parcel is still in export process but not exported yet. What?? Does that mean that it is still in the US after 12 days? But they provided me with local tracking number.. hmm.

My casing bought from ebay already received, ironically I ordered it later than I ordered my nexus 7, yet it came faster.

Used the new Nexus 7 for a few days now. Totally impressed with it.
Only thing that bugs me is the touch issue, can't play my Cytus properly due to the issue, other that that, it's a great tablet!
