Not for you, but we still want it.I always connect it with my phone, very stable and battery still very good. Think no need to buy LTE version.

ASUS has announced the availability of the 2nd generation Nexus 7 in Singapore from 21 September. It will be available from ASUS brand stores and authorised retailers at S$379 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model. It’s rather pricey, considering that it sells for US$229 in the U.S., and even after shipping costs, should not exceed US$245 (approx S$320).
The price disparity also occurred with the first generation Nexus 7 sold in Singapore. It’s disappointing to say the least, and for many people, it’s going to be much more attractive to ship in the tablet themselves. You don’t even have to pay GST.
While the Wi-Fi model is only just arriving on our shores, the U.S. is now seeing the availability of the 4G LTE model. The 32GB model with 4G LTE sells for US$349. Sounds like a reasonable price to me. For comparison, the Apple iPad Mini 32GB with 4G LTE sells for US$559.
The new Nexus 7 has many improvements over the old one. It’s just very slightly taller (200 vs 198.5 mm), but slimmer (114 vs 120 mm), thinner (8.65 vs 10.45 mm) and lighter (290 vs 340 g). The new display resolution at 1920×1200 with a 323 dpi pixel density is awesome. You now get both front and rear-facing cameras, and Qi-compatible wireless charging.
Furthermore, the new Nexus 7 actually costs less than the old one too. Along with the slew of hardware upgrades and overall design improvements, I think this 2013 Nexus 7 is a pretty good buy. If you don’t already have an Android tablet, or any tablet at all (highly unlikely I’d guess), you should seriously give this lots of consideration.
But, of course, the official retail price in Singapore is too high. I’d suggest to either import it yourself, or find an alternate online source.

it does not support 2600 band LTE? That's useless in Singapore right?
US SKU model doesn't carry 2600Mhz.. But if it does indeed have 1800Mhz as specified, its NOT useless in Singapore...

So if it does indeed support 1800Mhz for the US set.. all telcos in SG can use, and you dun even need to care the UK model if u are using Starhub...
The New Nexus 7 will retail at S$379 for the 16GB wifi model will be available with all Asus stores & authorised retailers from Saturday(21/9).
A bit pricey but u hv warranty for sure.

In other words, better to buy UK version right?
better if you want to equip with all the bands or if u are a frequent traveller..
and if you are willing to pay the extra bucks
otherwise if 99% of the time u are using in SG... no diff..and cheaper
This is only correct if you're with Starhub. On M1 and Singtel, the non-US set will give you better LTE coverage locally.
Singtel and Starhub use LTE bands 3 & 7, but Starhub only uses band 3 (*). The US version supports 1,2,3,4,5,13,17.
Performance will be similar to the Iphone 5 (LTE Bands 1,3,5 only), and the current iPads (Bands 1,3,5,13,25).
The non-US version however supports LTE Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,20. This means you'll have better LTE coverage here if you're with M1 or Singtel.
Also, band 7 is used in more places around us (EU, AU, and a number of countries in Asia (SG, HK, MY, KR, and VN), compared to 13 and 17 (mostly US only). It really depends if you travel often, and make it a point to data roam and/or buy a local data SIM when you do.
Bottom line? The US version will work here (LTE 3, HSDPA+), but the non-US version should work better (LTE 3, LTE 7, HSDPA+).

Additional note: While Asus has 'international warranty', it's only if the device is available locally. They *may* deny warranty service for US-LTE sets since they have a different SKU.
16GB Asus will be selling at SGD379 here, so what do you think for 32GB?

Nothing HERE is worth the $, comparing to online pricing.
The Nexus 7 2013 is available for free delivery to Singapore if you order from Amazon.
