ALL Tablets by ASUS have international warranty. There is no such thing as US warranty for ASUS tablet and regardless where you buy it from, as long as the country you are in has this product, the warranty is valid.

Same goes for ASUS notebooks.

just got my Nexus 7 from Amazon, but it won't turn on and even when I plug it in to charge, there's no reaction at all. I called the local ASUS service centre but was told that my Nexus is only covered under Local warranty in US because I got it from Amazon.

should I send it back to Amazon for refund?

Just go back to ASUS Singapore. They have to service it. You dont even need to tell them where you got it from when you are there.

You bet. The most hassle free and their price not mark up as high as ASUS Singapore. Good service. Bought my bundle for 560.00 for 32 gb lte (us version)

ALL ASUS tablets/notebooks come with international warranty. Even $100+ ASUS tablet has int warranty.

There is no such thing as US warranty for Nexus 7. All are international warranty.

But you forgot the main caveat - they may not be able to service the US LTE model here due to lack of parts.

Unless you trash yours and go ask them?

Did you check the terms on the warranty card which comes with it to see if it comes with international or local warranty?
