1) Call ASUS on the spot. Come during working hours

2) 3 pin adapter for SG Sets - We havent got the chance to open up the box (at the time of this posting) as we just receive the stocks this morning but its logically to believe there's a 3 pin adapter since its SG set.

The nexus 7 default launcher has very limited functionality. Try out other launchers: Apex, Nova, Go launcher etc. Millions of ways to customize and welcome to the world of Android!

I actually tried a few, then some seems not optimized for 4.3 yet, gave up, went back to default which I am ok with, just want to get rid of the good search on top and the droplet widget, haha

If buy from asus authorised reseller like challenger, hn, ect, definitely sg local set right.....

Hi is there a difference with LTE version between US and SG set? How about when it comes to warranty? Also for the US set, what type of case that comes with it?

Hi,

1) Difference

I believe SG set supports 2600mhz band.. however i can't confirm this. I can't find much info on this. ASUS SG site does indicate the following

*4: NA/JP SKU: 2100(1), 1900(2), 1800(3), AWS 2100/1700(4), 850(5), 700(13), 700(17)
EU/KR/AU/Others SKU: 2100(1), 1900(2), 1800(3), AWS 2100/1700(4), 850(5), 2600(7), 800(20)

We should fall under the "others" category which means the local set should support both 1800mhz and 2600mhz band

The only band for the US Set which supports our local network is 1800mhz.



2) Warranty

US Set comes with our own while SG set comes with Global warranty.

Wifi sets from playstore comes with global warranty as well. BUT not sets from AMAZON. US LTE sets does not come with warranty.

Pro and Cons about warranty

Warranty by us

Pro: 1:1 exchange for any hardware fault. Less downtime. Brand New set replacement most of the time.

Con: shop warranty. people may feel its unreliable.

Warranty by ASUS

Pro: Manufacturer repair.

Con: Longer Downtime. Repair existing set. Not replace set.


At the end of the day, choose the package which you feel comfortable with.
