how bout plugging the 3.5mm earphones directly to the jack? if it doesn't have any sound, that means sound codec not supported?

solved the issue. i made a mistake that the 3.5mm works, actually it did not, and speakers also not. it is the app (BS Player) that got issue with that file. I installed VLC again(previously I got it, but removed coz it lags when playing certain files) and everything works well.

I still not used to Android......

hey guys. anybody has issue with the earphone jack? i know that this is a known issue when a earphone is plug in it is unable to increase the volume output. does a factory reset solve the problem and if a bluetooth earphone is able to resolve the issue without sending in for repair?

I'm having issues with my charging as I left it there for charge and instead of charging it's decharging
Now it is completely dead as I can't turn it on at all.

Anyone knows of the warranty of the import sets from us?
Is it international warranty?

Can vary I think.. My set got from google play and its international. But I think if amazon have to check with asus and see, cause some only have US warranty

for amazon set. you will need the box to get the SNN to register with asus.
source: own exp. brought mine from amazon.

ya, asus have varies warranty policy, mine from amazon, jul made set gt international warranty, bt my frenz sept set from amazon, only u.s warranty...

If you dont want to touch any adb, use this toolkit: [Toolkit] Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.3 [Updated 10/31/13]: Nexus 7 (2013) Thread - xda-developers

Rom wise it's all down to personal preference. Different roms haves different features and tweaks, and don't forget kernels too. Try it out yourself, it's what makes up the Android experience.

Rooting will not wipe data. However, unlocking the bootloader WILL! That's why it is always advisable to unlock the bootloader first on any device when you get your hands on it haha

Just curious. I assume the majority of owners here got it from Amazon and not Google play right? How's the warranty then? All USA warranty or is there a cut off date where earlier/later devices have international warranty?
