just upgraded to ICS for i9023. Any idea how to disable the special gui effect when you lock the screen? and it doesn't seem to have native screen capture.

There is native screen capture. Press and hold volume down and power button

Thanks dude.... I tried press volume down and power button as mention by a few website but i doesn't work.... they never mention press and "HOLD".

Yeah it takes a while to get used to it. But good that it is provided by Google now.

I deleted the APN and created a new one but it still doesn't work.

The phone status keeps showing connecting for mobile network state but it never connects.

Did you do a clean install of ICS or did you upgrade from stock 2.3 GB?
Updated with no issue so far. U might want to check your network settings

Anyone here got a 4s and a Nexus S running ICS? Can compare smoothness/speed for me? Kinda convinced to change back to Android from 4s due to ICS which seems to have made the Nexus S many times smoother. Get to save like 400 bucks too :s13:

ICS for me so far:

Lost connection (no phone network at all) but can't tell if it was immediately after upgrade. Had to go manual select network once. Ok after that.

BUT all my photos and videos in Camera are GONE!!! Checked USB storage usage (now they tell you how much is used by pics and videos) and the numbers there are small. So I'm pretty sure my stuff are gone forever! So bros make sure you backup before upgrade.

And i like the way I can kill apps by just swiping them from the list of running apps.

Ui is very clean and smooth, better than stock gingerbread by a mile but once u start opening apps and using browser then some lag starts to creep in.. But i love the new swipe to clear notifications and to close apps. Dialer app is better, contacts app is beautiful. Overall it feels very honeycombish and battery life has been pretty gd for me? Smoothness and speed ip4s win for sure without a doubt, but ics is pretty nice to use and its nt so boring.

I upgraded from 2.3......so far so good. Try taking out the sim card and put it again. It might works.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Solved the problem by doing a factory reset.
Had to reinstall my apps but luckily USB storage wasn't affected.
