You are hitting [Update] button with blank information which writing all zeros onto SMSC area...

Hitting [Refresh] indeed display current active SMSC...which will not cause problem..
I just retried this experiment.of hitting [REFRESH] button...No problem of sending SMS...

I type the M1 smsc no, +6596845999 and click update, it show update error..

I found the solution!!!! Take out the sim card, put into a non smart phone, then use the non smart phone to type in the default smsc no, then send a sms out (should be successful). take out sim card, put into ur andriod and it worked.

just realised the one released in SG (and all other non-US territories) will be using Super_LCD instead of Super AMOLED. Bummer...

skipped!

Aiyoh....dun like that. U see the LG 2X users even without SuperLCD they're pretty happy. :D Must downgrade ur expectations.

Thanks. Testing on a non-smart phone is indeed what I intend to try. Will let you know.

I also moved from Nexus one. Found the S better in the display and overall feel. Technically the key difference is the 1gb memory on the NS. On N1 I hit mem limit and that's about as many apps I can install. Unless you really use the phone as a media gadget 15gb is more enough. I hv a 8gb SD on my N1 and I hardly use half the capacity. Just MHO ...

Btw I read from DL last week a dual core like the LG Opt 2X doesn't improve performance much. And it's buggy

the thing is...i'm very unsure of the local Nexus S...as it's using super LCD

previously, the superLCD version of Nexus One (the korean one) got some problem in root and installing custom roms.

Any users of local Nexus S got problem with that?

No problem. Initially there was because ours is the i9023 version. However, this has been resolved through another version of clockworkmod.

After that, everything else is the same.. :s12::s12:

Finally got my Rearth Ringke Red Wine case for my Nexus S! After waiting for 11 days since the USPS tracking said it's at sorting facility, guess their tracking not updated or detailed enough... haha.. which made me a little worried.

I ordered the bundle, which comes with a screen protector and 3 audio jack caps.
Damage: US$$20.99 + US$3.99 shipping fees

Edit:
A little review, certainly changed my perspective on silicon cases, this one isn't that rubbery, soft or sticky type, it was kinda like plastic actually, but bendable plastic.. heh. Was very easy to fit the case on my Nexus S and it's a perfect fit. The holes on the respective ports are spaced enough to let you charge or plug your earphones easily.

Also commendable that their logo on the case is beveled in and not too eye catching, i hate those brands who make their logos too obvious.. haha. Overall, a great case!
(P.S. I also got their keyboard protector for my MacBook Air, that one wouldn't be as good as the case though, not too recommended for that one)
