Try digiskin at Cathay orchard, near plaza singapura. Got mine wrapped there. though its a bit pricier, the worksmenship is very good, I only wrapped the back and the rims, did not wrap the screen as like to keep screen bare. You get what you pay for.

How much does it cost to wrap? Also..what does it mean to wrap the phone? usually I buy case..but this phone is quite nice to use without case..

Nope...volume button is to enable or disable camera sound

If it's anything like the AOSP camera app, there's a 1X option at the vertical row of icons right?

I download facebook app for android. Seems like there is some bug to it.

When new/update message comes in. Top bar will indicate then I drag down and click on the new notification. It will link me to the fb app, but after a while, I also can't find the new/update message that I was suppose to see. Until I check on laptop then I can see the new notification properly.

I guess is an app problem rather than platform issue.

after dragging the indication bar down and selecting the new notification, it will bring you to the fb app and list of existing notifications. give it 2 to 4 secs, and the notification page will "refresh" and show the latest notification.

after selecting the latest notification, then can see the comment in the thread, else if click on notification before the refresh, will show older comments.

think the fb app needs another update for gingerbread. feels quirky after use.
other than the "places"icon, the rest seems to be working ok for the moment.

Check liao...it's a horizontal row with the following option:

1) Front or back cam
2) Flash mode
3) White balance
4) Store location
5) Focus mode, Exposure, Scene mode, Picture size, picture quality, colour effect, Restore defaults.

Yeah, brut maps. However it's still at v4.6, so no vector maps support yet.

Also, some might encounter issues with it's operation, ANRs as Brut says.

Regarding this Brut map seems good. Anyone knows where i can get step by step installation for it. Mine is Nexus S unroot. Thanks

the copy and paste feature for ms outlook mail seems a little quirkly too. difficult to drag and highlight the required text at times, and ok on other times.

how's your battery life like?

with facebook, twitter, 2 mailboxes, youtube, news & weather active, i can barely complete a day. Losing about 3 to 5% battery every hour. With everything turned off, reduced to 1 to 3% battery drop per hour. this is after display reduced brightness to lowest, disable background data (no need APNdroid app), and clearing the cache.

oh yes... before i forget, HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone!

Yes, it looks like there's no digital zoom on Nexus S. Maybe in an update.

Try installing all 3 of the apks posted on the initial post in Brut thread. If all 3 cannot, then u need to try uninstalling original Maps via Market. Then try installing Brut maps again.

If still cannot then need to root liao.

delete all the apk in your system and data directory...


seriously I went UK recently and the new vector maps on the Maps 5.0 works perfectly for me. Unless you really need the Navigation in SG, the Maps 5.0 official version works much better.

The original Google map can uninstall eh? I go my download option under manage apps don't have option for me to delete and also in market under download....

Because I dunno NS the Maps is stored in /system/apps or data/apps. Turns out it's /system I guess.

Then no choice, need root.
