Is this phone really gonna be available in Singapore Telcos? Supposedly end 2011Q1. Been googling for sometime and is unable to find solid evidence to support what somebody mentioned earlier on in the thread. ):

Ish jin sad reh. TT
With Samsung's track record, I believe it will. Just only a matter of when. They did fulfill their promise of Galaxy Tab coming "before end of November", i.e. 20th Nov.

Samsung is very aggressive in their feat to conquer the mobile market, so yes they will come to SG. Just no AMOLED for sg version :(

just got my Nexus S :D

IMG_0887.jpg

not bad, it automagically remembers what apps and wallpaper I had on my Desire, and restores them automagically. That's what I called magic!

How does it reinstalled all app ? I am signing into same gmail account that i used for Nexus One which has the restore/backup option enabled.

For my Nexus S, it doesnt do anything..i got to manually restoring all apps that i used on Nexus..in fact, I just wish to get back all bookmarks from Nexus one..without manually porting them over..

I'm not too sure, but when I flashed the Desire HD rom in my Desire, it prompts me whether I want to backup all my stuff with Google, in which I put yes. Perhaps that's the reason?

I saw the magic performed in front of my eyes. When you first setup a google account, click on market, then go downloads. You will see the market app download everything at once, and for some reason even if the download is done, it's not shown at the status bar.

I don't even need to go downloads. I discovered it when suddenly "Angry Birds" appeared in my Apps Drawer list.

Then slowly other apps start to appear. All without significant lag.

Perhaps..for my set, i got my friend at USA to insert Singapore SIM card and power up..to validate that the phone is not locked set ,along the process..the initial settings were not done correctly and causing it no setup..I think a factory reset will reinitiate that..however i have spent quite a bit of time to reinstall stuff..no chance to try again..

When i did first power up,...all screens are clean without any icon..For Nexus one ,at least those google search bar, email, browser are on the main screen. What lucky was APN for Singtel SIM Card is automatically detected..

A question..do you guys find the default video player a bit buggy...video playback is choppy even playing video on internal memory. I did same video contents streaming over same Wifi network for Nexus One and Nexus S..somehow Nexus One buffer the contents faster and the playback is smooth but Nexus S is choppy...

What please me is Cantonese voice input..which make search easy on Chinese stuff..
