Are you comparing original charger with nokia one? Original charger got only .7amp so I guess nokia has higher amp?? Get a Griffin power block or an ipad charger, which has 2amp. It does shorten my charging time :)

The phone charging circuit read the pull up resistor value to see genuine charger is used, if found no trace of it, the circuit will assume standard USB which has spec limit of 500mA .
In summary, you won't be to enjoy with higher current rate unless you know what logic the circuit deployed, even you find the logic but without understand the thermal management design, you still ended
killing the phone.
Need hero to run the experiments!

Sigh, my phone doesn't like being overclocked. Won't even go to 1.2ghz. :(

Yeah amazingly it shortens the charging time on my iPad as well, but it doesn't shorten the time for my Nexus S charging.

Yes compare differences in org. Nexus Usb adaptor and my nokia n97 org. Charger. N97 is 1.44mah while nexus 0.7mah. Nexus adaptor takes forever to charge. N97 org. Charger. Half d charging time. Looking at even higher current adaptor?.

Anyone can share? Better like 2.5 or 3.0mah.. best.
