Nexus S users,

Would you recommend Nexus S to a user who won't necessarily indulge in rooting and custom roms but would like prompt OS updates?

In other words, for new phone in 2011, for a user as above, would it be better to select other Androids?

The nexus s will definitely have the fastest updates but specs wise, the sgs2 and sensation would be the one to look forward to.

Honestly, I think the Nexus S has enough power to handle most tasks, unless you need to capture or play 1080p videos, or play upcoming games.

If prompt OS updates is priority, nothing beats the Nexus S. :)

imo if user not interested in rooting and custom rom, the Nexus line is prolly one of, if not the, best android phone for him to get. while it is true spec-wise Nexus S is not as impressive as upcoming phones, but more often than not it is the software that defines the user experience. i mean, just ask anybody who used an unrooted Galaxy S when it was released.

Can use hardware encoding already quite an achievement, plus this app is still quite new, give it some time.
