I personally find the Nexus S batt life sucks.
Somehow, it stops charging at 95% and it says it's fully charged.
After light SMS (less than 5), very very light OR no surfing, it will drop to 70% within 3 hrs.
By the time, I reach home ard 7pm, batt life at less than 25%.
BT and GPS not activated. Only 3G
And yes, I charged every nite till next morning.

App killers will kill your battery life instead if it keeps having to be started up by the internal processes. Please don't waste your time.My battery life is good, one day without issues, about 2 hours non stop surfing, plus some calls, whatsapp etc.... try installing apps killer.
I believe there is no issue with his phone, even on stock firmware, my battery life has been fantastic for a smartphone. CM7's random reboots are quite annoying, so it might not be for everyone. You might need Cyanogenmod to help out on battery life.
Try Netarchy kernal 1.3.2 beta with Cyanogenmod 7 nightlies #80.
Please read the battery guide stickied in this forum itself. There is a reason why it "does not charge to full." As the signal strength in Singapore itself is horrendous in most areas, your battery will be drained quickly if you do not live near a cell tower. So 25% at 7pm sounds very normal.

It's very unfortunate the area Tuakong is around has horrible battery life. When I was working on a project in Tuas, my battery life, without even using SMS and only 2 calls from 97% in the morning from 8am, went down to 25% by 7pm, which sounds around right for me.But 25% after "light SMS (less than 5), very very light OR no surfing" doesn't sound very good.
I usually get around that kind of figure after medium to heavy facebooking, surfing and games on the MRT.
And I commute to & fro on NS-CC line daily. The 3G reception on the NS line is horrendous.
Then stop using the app, give that stupid author 1 star. I haven't encountered such apps in quite a while.Does keeping an app killer on the phone even if you don't use the "auto-kill" feature use up system resources?
I don't use it to kill automatically. But sometimes still need it to kill some buggy apps when they won't FC.
Try buying DicePlayer. It works so well with the Nexus S it might surprise you.
im not sure what format i was playing but Rockplayer was pretty sweet.. no lag and good frames!
RockPlayer can play AVI without any problems. I think almost all the players work well with AVI, until you try MKV. Everything else other than Dice will vomit blood.
but Dice isnt free rite? aiyaaa.,. hahaha
i have no idea for the stock rom,Thanks, bro vulpix. will read up the sticky.
Anyway, my phone is constantly plugged to the charger in the office to ensure full charge.
This morning after a couple emails, 5mins angry birding, 2 whatsapp, 1 sms and 2 short in-coming calls (<1min), it dropped to 55% by noon.
Some more, my office around Expo area

most likely due to GS2Local sets of Nexus S i9023 without contract prices dropping rapidly over the past week. from $700 to $660 now.
