Install apps like Appbrain Ad detector to figure out what crappy apps with push ads you installed recently.

But if you are already on Jellybean, it's easy to block such ads....just press and hold on the offending notification, press the popup and disable notifications for that app.

thks again! i didn't know that. anyway i install the ad detector and found the app resonsible for the pushing, coming from a history cleaner... how ironic.

not sure if it is just me or my phone, but i noticed that my nexus s performance is lagging quite badly these days. from basic open apps or switch apps, or make phone call can take me like 10 secs for the screen to appear..

tried to clear cache and apps mem also no use..

hope google tries to prove the 512mb thing with our nexus s :(

I don't think they will. Why do so when the dev community will do the job for them. Before my Nexus S died a few months back I was running 4.2.2 on it, and it ran okay on it (with lots of optimisation). Unless 4.4 has some serious serious optimisation out of the box, cut down of features, etc, i don't see it running well.

Notice the wording they used.....I get the impression they're saying it's optimized for low end FUTURE devices rather than current/past devices aka devices that are NOT the Nexus S/GNex but those stuff like watches/fridges/ovens etc. :(

So don't bet too much on it.

you can force installing windows 7 on a 10 year old laptop designed for XP. but how it performs your requirement is the question.

Anyway, anyone knows how to do the unbrickable mod on nexus s? Mine has died likely of a hard brick, and was thinking of doing the mod, but I have absolutely no soldering skills. Haha.
