Just got a Galaxy watch8 today and noticed I cant pair it with my P10 Pro, however it worked fine on my P9PXL. A quick google search and I found out that its a known issue as per this reddit post

Anyone looking to pair a new smartwatch with the P10 series, avoid galaxy watch 8 for now. Maybe wait for pixel watch 4.

EDIT: seems like an issue with Android 16 but its odd cos it paired fine on my P9PXL which is also running on Android 16 (aug 2025 update). Reports of this issue has been present since the QPR and looks like it affects all galaxy watches. What is samsung doing man

Any screen protector to recommend? I use cheap ones for my iPhones which work just as well but with fingerprint sensor on the Pixel, what is recommended? Anything not above $5 per piece?

Cheap screen protectors sometimes the fit cannot use cases.

Need to find ones that align with the case

There is a QR code on the box, scan it , to add the tempered glass model in the settings

I only see the QR code for the installation guide. Do you have a photo where you see the QR code?

Every year is like that.

You have to reset the watch unfortunately.

Uninstall existing Wear app, and the galaxy watch manager.

Reset watch. Reboot/restart phone.

Connect watch via bluetooth first (don't use Wear app to connect).

Proceed to setup from Wear app.

Tried the microsoft launcher today. Seems pretty good. There are also other launchers like nova launcher but microsoft launcher is completely free.

What i liked over the pixsel launcher:
1) shows the number of unread notifications instead of just a dot.
2) Able to drag and drop the home screen page order etc.
3) Able to remove "at a glance"
4) Able to remove Google search bar
5) More screen estate.

Is everyone using the default pixel launcher?

There are a lot of limitations to 3rd party launcher since Google doesn't give permission for everything. You'll find something to nitpick about and either live with the weird quirks or go back to Pixel Launcher.

Found a clear case with full camera bar coverage AND pixelsnap/magsafe compatible. Many colors available and CHEAP.
