Looking to check if anyone has encountered a similar issue with the bundled Gemini subscription promos across successive Pixel pre-orders.
Currently planning to pre-order the Pixel 11 Pro XL, which comes with the promotional 6-month Gemini AI Pro subscription. However, my existing 1-year subscription (from the previous purchase) only ends on 22 September 2026.

Background:
Started back with the Pixel 9 Pro XL, then moved to the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Last year during the Pixel 10 pre-order, my free subscription was prematurely cut off because the system flagged me as ineligible (stating I had already used up a trial previously).
It eventually got sorted out on the backend and ran until Sept 2026, but it was quite a hassle to resolve.

Questions for those who upgrade yearly:
Does the new 6-month promo automatically queue/stack to start after the current plan expires on 22 Sep?
Has anyone who previously claimed a 1-year bundled offer faced redemption errors or account lockouts when claiming the new promo on the same Google account?
Appreciate any shared experience or advice before placing the order. Thanks!

IIRC for my account, I waited until the current plan expired first, then I went into Google One to claim the next free subscription as it "restarts" it. You will get a notification in the app saying your account is eligible for an offer or something similar. Worked out fine in the end.

This promo honestly really good as I havent been paying google one storage for over 2 years now and their cloud storage is likely something you will use as an Android user. But they reduced the free subscription from 12 months to 6 months.

when i activated my 1 year Gemini Pro, my previously paid 1 year subscription was refunded, pro-rated. Since your previous one was not paid but complimentary, i suggest you wait until the end of the existing before activating since you have nothing to refund.

Is my eye playing tricks on me? It seems that the pixel 11 pro has a thicker black border around the screen than the pixel 10 pro. Just checked out the live set in Harvey Norman.

The Pixel 11 series brings Google’s updated Tensor G6 chipset that, while not quite as big of an upgrade as we expected, still brings a big new change in a MediaTek-made modem that Google has some claims about.

You can pick from any number of mostly-valid complaints around Google’s Tensor processors, but one of the most glaring flaws over the years has been the modem. In the early days where Tensor was still based more on Samsung’s Exynos chips, the first couple of generations of Tensor were an absolute mess in regards to network performance. Google made marked improvements in subsequent generations, mostly ironing out the situation by the time of Pixel 8 and Tensor G3.

Last year’s Tensor G5 was Google’s first entirely self-developed and TSMC-made chip, but it still relied on a Samsung modem.

This year, Tensor G6 changes things up.

The modem found in the Pixel 11 series and Tensor G6 is from MediaTek, as was rumored for months ahead of launch. FCC listings and the baseband present on these new devices confirm the switch on Google’s part, and it’s been a long-awaited one. We’ll be looking at this in our reviews of the Pixel 11 series, but Google is making some direct claims around the modem. On the Google Store, the company says:

The all-new modem is reliable, faster, and more power efficient.

A footnote says that these claims are based on “pre-production devices in lab-controlled conditions,” but it’s still promising. Where Samsung’s modems often led to lesser performance, battery drain, and overheating problems, we’re hoping that this switch will improve things across the board for Pixel 11, and that’s exactly what Google claims. But we’ll have to wait and see how it performs in real-life.

No doesn't stack automatically. Just set a calendar reminder to activate a day before your current trial expires.
