Seems like the latest google camera update resolves the focus issue..so far open app, straight focus..

Edit: still same. Think have to wait for Nov updates.

Did the update as well...But even b4 i didnt have any issues with auto focus on my p4a...

P.s - tried giving it slight knock at camera area b4 launch app or shake phone to hear got any weird sounds like my previous s20 ultra

Yup, can hear tick tick sound..like shaking it to wake it up to focus.

Edit: In contact with Google Support now. Go CDTI repair... :s13:

Is it normal to have haptic feedback when using the camera? Like when i adjust the light or any setting b4 i shoot, there is a little vibration. But when i point and shoot, there is none. Thanks.

Or when i tilt the camera back and forth, there is a vibration.

If I'm not wrong the haptic feedback comes from the 'spirit-level' feature as part of framing hints. Can disable framing hints in camera settings and the haptics should be gone.

Its probably the cause...thank god for warranty den

2 years warranty..probably dec when I'm clearing my floating holiday.

I think they would have to replace the whole motherboard, seems like the camera is soldered..

Yes, the speaker will cause the back of the phone to vibrate.

I think due to costs/size limitation, Google could only fit in smaller speakers which will not provide loud enough volume.

So they probably borrowed the same LG boombox idea and use the chassis as a resonance chamber to amplify the sound.

Just wanna say this Qualcomm SD730 is not an inferior chip that most critics made them out to be. I've been gaming COD on my iphone 11, and now on my P4a. I must say there is no difference at all in terms of performance.

So far this phone is holding up well with the battery size. I've been both iphone and pixel user from IP7 to P2XL to IP11 and now P4a, i think google has make it right this time round with a phone that can perform well enough, but cost alot lesser.
