Just a word of warning: I had to repair my phone screen after dropping the phone and the Google service centre said they are getting a lot of broken screens with this model.

Warn also no use. more like user behaviour.

anybody having issue wth gpay mrt tap in? i had this issue 2x everytime it happen i need to hard reset, very tedious...

it always happen when i try to tap the gantry but nothing happen.. then i restarted the phone.. after restarted can scan but always failed...

i remember my old 1+8pro also having same issue..

log ticket with google for weeks but no solution..

Im using Pixel 4a 5g, for past few days, i have issue using Gpay for transportation at MRT. Failed to detect at Gantry. Error "That didnt work" message . Not sure if anybody else has any issue. Have been been working fine for past months.

No issues on my Pixel 4a currently.
Had the problem 1 or 2 months ago but no issue after registering bank card with SimplyGo.
But I'm not sure if the registration is related to the problem.

My gpay still working for transport but i noticed that i need to keep the phone on the gantry for like half a sec longer for it to complete the transaction. Before it was literally the same as ezlink card, tap & go.

Same user behaviour for all my other phones and I've never had a single crack or problem with them, until this one. But I did blame myself, until the service centre guy laughed and told me that there many many people experiencing the same thing with this model.

I have actually seen two, once at Bugis Village's Mr Coconut outlet (young guy using it without any case) and another on the bus from Kovan to Nex (the lady was even rocking a fabric case).

the last time I had gpay issue was to uninstall play services update.

this few days I also had issue with transportation tap..however no issue at retail store. I notice gpay was updated like 3 days ago.

In that case, can you accept screen protector that is slightly smaller than screen size this negating the issue of the curve sides ?

tested working.. by card now doesn't show properly when tap but at least work.. probably there is another built of GPS between the one i have and latest one which also work and fix the card display issue but i don't think i wish to go through with at the moment
