hey all. I'm using a SD855 S10+ now and it's working fine for me but I do prefer and miss the Google experience, and the "shoot and forget" Google camera experience.

Does it make any sense to sell the S10+ and get a 4a?

Gcam very Lek Chek one, need to find many version. Some works some cannot works, break something if not totally not working. Pixel cam everything works, just take, point and shoot.

Same for me. I've tried gcam ports for some phones, and other than the need to sideload an apk made by someone else, you might need to try different versions. then if got newer version and what not you might have to sideload again, etc.

Even then, not all the camera and features will work seamlessly, and even for main camera just point and shoot, it can take images that looks similar to the "google" style of image processing, but it's not confirm will be good all the time. also a lot of the time it won't be as consistent also. sometimes the white balance, exposure, or colour will be a bit off or what. Pixel camera experience will still be more hassle free and more consistent in my experience.

Ever tried gcam port for op 6t, IQ still looks meh..Some pictures taken with the original app using pro mode just slightly better..But overall, op not famous for cam since the days of opo..

Ya you all understand lol I really gave up on gcam port, if really want the google pixel camera magic just go buy pixel. I think it’s really a great phone that takes very good pictures!

I don't disagree, OG Pixel camera is of course the best.

But since he already have the SD 855 S10+ on hand, might as well try a few Gcam first and wait to see if the Pixel 5 is a better fit since that will come will a higher end SoC.

I recommend can try this first, Urnyx's 7.3 v2.1
All the important modes work, especially night sight.

Import or Export set not that big of a difference to me.
Most electronics won't spoil within the 1st year of warranty anyways.

I just hope Google comes to their senses and add a UW instead of telephoto if they can only do a 2 lens setup for 4a 5G or Pixel 5.

I understand about DCC by the way.

Since Gpay itself is official in SG(Not the Google Pay which most of us were using all along, Google Pay Singapore started aroundApr 2020), i'm waiting to see when it's ship out, Would they be using this payment portal in SG instead.
