Does the latest Android OS still using dot as the notification badge? or there is an option to change to numbers natively?

or still have to use Nova launcher to achieve this?

stock launcher has notification badge using dot, can't change.

can use nova to fix this.

To those who are currently on 3XL, have you see the 4a actual model? What you all think? I'm still on the fence because the size I really find it too small for my liking for media consumption.

I'm on p3 and seriously considering this, checked out the demo set and instantly liked the size and minimal bezel. Speed wise is snappy and I think can be faster when reducing the animation speed. If you on XL will feel smaller and need to adapt, but from 3 will feel slightly bigger screen while being the same size.

Used and let go of OnePlus 8 pro before, high refresh screen not very important. Would camp and see how the early impressions first.

Thanks but I don't need this as I went down to physically compare my 3XL with the 4a demo. I feel really not big enough for me. :s13:

I using a s9 + realme x2 pro ( daily driver ) setup right now.

Media consumption definitely better on bigger screen :s13:

But realme x2 pro very heavy, hoping to find big screen + lightweight + 3.5mm jack :D

When I think about 4a, i keep thinking that pixel 3 will be a better deal/phone to use but problem is its aging battery :s22:

If you are just a light user or someone who uses the basic functions of a smart phone most of the time, then I think definitely no issues for you to get this

Otherwise, i don't think this phone can last long euff and you would want to upgrade to something more powerful :o

Once you are used to a bigger screen, you will never go smaller.

disagree. small phones are always nicer than big screen phones. waited so long for this. hate big screen.

People like you and me who value portability, will prefer the smaller size.

Many have no issue with portability and already used to bigger screens. This group is unlikely to downgrade one.

My wife will never use a non XL anymore.

Just like if you are used to a >50" TV, will you ever opt for a 32" TV? I doubt so.

i switched from note 3 to s8. s8 was ahead of the time when it was launched. small phones are always the best. they don't do small phones anymore. s10e, pixel 3a and now 4a are the best options right now.
