The 4a is an endurance champion

For me so far, a day of slightly heavier use is easily achievable (around 5hours+ SOT), and lighter usage 1.5 days doable.

I like smaller phones, so have used some of the more popular options like s10e, and still have iPhone SE 2020 around also. Also I always go for the smaller pixels (1,2,3,3a,4). It's one of the better battery life on a compact phone already.

Preorder taking quite long, so im going to get pixel 4 64GB used at 550. Waht do you think?

Will it be a good buy?

Fingerprint scanner seems better nowadays with mask since face recognition is simply disabled with mask on.

P3 batt marginally better only. Ya face unlock only at this mask period is very lecheh

Batt drain seems ok from YouTube testers. Definitely not great but ard 5hrs screen time. 90hz leave at auto helps n soli off

after some research...

and some testing...

looks like the minimum focus distance on the front camera is further away than a lot of phones. It's using infinity focus, and from what I see, it's slightly more than my arms can extend. lol. at full arm's length, it's not that obvious unless you zoom in a look closely though. So maybe ppl with longer arms will be fine with it. In the video above you can see some shots the face is indeed softer compared to the other 2 phones. (i watching on desktop at 4k by the way, on phone screen probably less obvious)

just some fun fact, not all phones uses infinity focus these days. Pixel 4 for example i think doesn't. it's more like a range, so background will have a very very slightly out of focus look no matter what. Probably helps with portrait mode. Reno2 does this too. Pixel 3a is infinity like the 4a, but minimum focus distance is normal for me. no issues with faces looking slightly out of focus.

like it looks relatively okay in this video. not sure whether there is unit variance too. that said, i'm pixel peeping here. For viewing on phones, if you don't take too close up selfie, it's still usable one. anyway post on social media also will get compressed.

if 5 hours screen on time, its ok for me already. isn't normally also 5 - 6 hours? i was thinking pixel 4 can only last 3-4 hours SOT.

Yep getting it used. its very costly to get new pixel 4. Doesn't make any sense now, especially with 4a around and 5 coming soon

It's a free market.

Flippers can try to sell at $2k but if no buyers also no use.

Some don't want to wait but willing to pay slightly more expensive. It's their choice.
