correction I'm using s22+.. among these 3 I would only consider the xm as compact.. but experience wasn't good.. if you want compact can consider the normal s22..

p6 is a great phone.. tbh it's one of the best phones I've used in 2021.. but it's to big and heavy to be considered a compact phone..

I found a working cable from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 in the end.

Did some research online, Pixel 6 very choosy about the cable especially the USB A to C ones. Cheap China one may not function at all like this case. Hope the ugreen one I ordered will work cause prefer a braided cable for car.

now see phones all the screen big big moi a bit turn off (explored other brands also big screen)
moi prefer small screen, put in pocket more comfortable

Rec if u really need to change 4a, otherwise, wait for next gen maybe. Since tensor on P6 is the 1st gen, there's bound to be a butt load of problems. I'll list down all the issues I've faced so far:
1) Screen flicker (once, haven't got it since)
2) Battery (ok, not the best, 15% usage of tiktok, YT, FB and Insta .etc in 2h starting from 100%, similar to my friend's S22. Will last me through half day of my work, then I'd need to charge it up)
3) Connection (okok so far, even in rural parts of Malaysia still ok)
4) Thermals (god damn is this thing hot, when using mobile data scroll FB/Insta or worse, Tiktok, P6 can last you through the coldest winters in Siberia)
5) Display (noticed mild green tint, only noticeable in very specific scenarios eg, grey background at full brightness and with dim surroundings)
6) System UI not responding (apparently due to screenshot process timing out) and a few other bugs (eg. WhatsApp camera shifts left a bit)
7) Speaker sounds a bit distorted sometimes
8) on screen fingerprint works only on specific screen protectors (expected, works perfectly fine on my Ibywind but when I change to another silicone one since I cracked my Ibywind, it works like ****, not detecting 9/10 times even after re-registering FPs)

Not all is doom and gloom tho, personally, I enjoy my P6 experience very much. Stock android experience is unparalleled. With an amazing camera and some neat and gimmicky features such as adaptive charging (really keeps the phone cool) and the listen to nearby music feature (kinda cool, i guess), accurate TTS (can even recognize some Singlish words like Walao, lol) .etc.

TLDR: If can wait, I'd say wait for next gen of Tensor and Pixel, cause P6 still feels like a beta product. Though some would argue, Pixel phones have always felt like a beta product with numerous issues from generation to generation. So, both sides of the argument and the final choice is up to you.

yeah moi enjoy pixel experience stock android thats huai moi has been using it for so long, after iphone. btw those issue u faced haven't fix yet? it has been quite some time since this phone was released already...

hm.. mostly well for me, on p6p.

1. phone doesn't heat up as most say but maybe because my usage is largely on messagings, surfing websites. The time I noticed heating up was when "Now Playing" was on and it was constantly processing whenever there was music.
2. connection's been pretty stable and I will attribute it to my wifi if otherwise as it won't be me alone affected most times. On Singtel LTE, havent moved to 5G
3. whatsapp image off to 1 side is resolved by updating whatsapp
4. tracetogether was a breeze
5. sync to fitbit also a breeze as compared to old phone
6. come from s20+ so the size I love and it's not as curvy edge as s20+ which was a nightmare last time
7. still figuring out a lot of other configurations as I go along the way, nice to have all these controls haha
8. voice assistant was great and hit almost like 99% I would say
9. battery life also good for me comparing to past phones

For me, screen size is paramount and min 6.4". I really feel 6.4" is the sweet spot - big enough to view yet pocketable comparing to ip13pm. If p6 is 6.2", I won't buy. Personal preference as my viewing experience goes down with smaller screen like video, maps, taking photo and reading doc at work etc

Tensor chipset is like exynos but added AI. Hot as usual, unlike SD, not like we have a choice also

my battery life was bad for the first week. After that it became very good. Sometimes I still have about 60% at the end of the day. Most of the days i have about 40% left. Probably the adaptive battery is working its magic. Initially I thought it was just gimmick only.

processors are getting more and more powerful nowadays, consuming more battery.. smaller size means smaller battery means shorted battery life with such powerful processors.. it's always a balance.. which is why p5 p5a have such good battery life despite a smaller battery as they opted for a processor that is much less powerful..

My only complain regarding Pixel 6 pro is wireless charging. It seems rather sensitive to operating temperature.

If in air-con room, the Gen2 charger works fine as expected. However in a non air-con room, where the typical Singapore room temperature can be rather hot, the wireless charging may even stop working.

Hopefully the new March feature drop will improve the situation.

Like I mentioned, Google is not serious in smartphone. V late to in-house soc, use a lazy shortcut to modify exynos instead of making their very own. Relied too heavily in software but neglected hardware, so we got a sub-par p6 not terrible but not the most prestige, good for average consumer like me

Same for me. I am not a power user or gamer, just need bang for buck SoC that sips power.
I too prefer smaller phones but accepted the increasing likelyhood that they will be phased out eventually.
Luckily, my Pixel 4a is still going strong.

Compact Size + Lightweight = Best
Compact Size + Heavy = Why !? They put extra weight inside is it ?
Bigger Size + Lightweight = Acceptable
Bigger Size + Heavy = Not interested with a brick in my pants pocket

Did you get the new 30W USB-C PD PPS charger? It may improve your charging experience.

My Pixel 6 Pro was hovering 35-40c typically as reported before. While looking at the background services, I noticed the Google Play Services seems to be running constantly unnecessarily. As I have migrated from Pixel 4XL, I thought perhaps I need to reset the Google Play Services app by clearing the Google Play Services app storage.

After re-setup the Google Play Services (such as GPay), now my Pixel 6 Pro battery is constantly below 35c. No longer hot, and comparable in temperature as my Pixel 4 XL. Am very pleased with the experience.

Thanks will try! So far now ok. Actually loving the phone and not really experiencing the issues documented.
