Wow S$1,699 for 128GB variant? If that's that case, 256GB will likely to be S$1,899 when it arrive @ SG next year. If that's the case, it's stepping into iPhone 13 Pro and Samsung Ultra series range.

if you notice is not sold directly by Amazon, it’s a retailer hence mark up pricing

by the time the phone officially launch and sell in sg next year, all the hype and excitement already passe

and if the pricing is marked up higher than usd599/899 , its double whammy

buy other phone and take business elsewhere instead.

I noticed the Pixel 6 Pro (128 GB & various colors) has been going in and out of stock on Amazon US (Sold from official Amazon, not third parties) at random times, day & night. You need to use a U.S. address while viewing & maybe a forwarder.

For example, this yellow one is up at this moment (not from 3rd parties).

I pre-ordered the 128 GB Cloudy White one from here randomly at 3 AM. The arrival date is listed at "Nov 10 - Dec 1", assuming that's accurate.
I saw the Google US store's shipping dates are already into 2022.

glad to see that it eventually does come into Singapore.

I'm more towards pro version, as it have higher hardware spec, 8 vs 12gb and also better camera. this alone is enough to persuade me to get the pro version. unlike the iPhone where the pro vs pro max 's main difference is battery, and screen size, the processor and the ram also the same.

as such as I do prefer a smaller phone (using an ip12 pro now and would naturally prefer the size of pixel 6). but the pixel 6 pro got more ram and much better camera..

now, need to save up for this purchase!

By then Google will release few software updates to address some issues for early adopters
So i think its good for us to access the situation by then

But i understand that value of the phone will drop in next few months so no point buying at retail price
I guess the extra value is for the warranty and assurance

But is local warranty worth it?
How was the repair situation for pixel 4a, is there any official repair centre for it?

Anyway looks like the sold out stock will remain for awhile... now have to join waiting list... sigh Google's manufacturing inventory still no match for Apple and Samsung.

By early next year, we might all be in a Samsung Galaxy S22 thread in mid-January instead. This is a similar case to Sony's Xperia phones, they built the hype but only make the phones available to us months later when the hype has moved on to something better and available at the time. With the next gen Snapdragon Flagship processor* 895, it will probably make Google's Tensor dated.
