but it is what it is .... he who took the early plunge knows it's the overall google vanilla ,update and already very good camera record for the past series is what we are buying it for. A bigger sensor only improves the low light photography.

To me photo more imptt, video decent normal ok alr. Forgot to say that price is v important too if s22 can be cheaper then yes I might consider but need see reviews again. But feel like getting pixel bc never tried this phone before, samsung tried 2 times alr

The biggest adv of s22 is having the latest chipset to last longer

yes is better now.. used to use S20 Plus exy Note 20 SD and back to S21 Ultra Exy.. much better liao

i think many people still dont understand this: The video quality/battery is not at all bad.
People read comments and reviews like this and misinterpret that the video quality is bad?

They are still excellent, but only fall short when competing with the best of the best, which are usually $200-400 more expensive.

I am still very happy with the performance of the P6 and P6 Pro, and I think its a easy choice for me over other phones.

I am comparing with vivo70pro+, my current camera champion in 2021. It is likely to stay as champion =)

Off topic. Even though sony xperia is not popular than pixel or iphone in jap, their design is really good, not the price tag though.

I dont know about this new one but Xperia 1mk3 is super super bad in low light.
It has market leading auto focus but that only works in sufficient light.
Even in ample light, due to the software aspect, it is inferior to the likes of s21ultra or iPhone 12 pro. (for e.g inferior HDR shots)
It has sharper action shots though thanks to the excellent AF. (For e.g on action ample light shot, S21U. i can keep 2/10 shots, X1m3 wise, I am likely to be able to keep 3.5/10).
But once it get to low light... its utterly disappointing for such an expensive phone

Probably looking at pixel 6 rather than pro version since screen and camera zoom not that significant for me.
Only thinking cos i'm getting quite a good resale offer for my pixel.
I'll miss the unlimited storage options though

Unlimited storage on P5 is not original quality anw, its 'high quality'. If you're just changing from P5 to P6 then maybe not, unless you're a google pixel enthusiast. Perhaps P5 to P6P makes more sense. I'm holding onto a P5 now and thinking of changing to P6P. But I am not sure how credible the sources are when they say P6/P are coming to SG. Said sources are alternative media. Having my expectations low so as not to be disappointed.

im tried to purchase from cecaland, but they are not able to ship over. dont like cheena rom, cos it messed up my work profile apps on my X60 pro+. Otherwise, no issues.

If talking about right now ( Pixel 6 out of box ) , probably not worth it.
Pixel 6 might improve later due to Tensor optimizations & ML but that's a big " IF "
Pixel 6 Pro has more substantial hardware upgrades, price is okay when view standalone.
But it doesn't look value for money when compared to Pixel 6
