Reminds me back in the days when people recommend others to switch off 4G, lowest brightness, switch off sync to save battery.
And if you're rooted installing apps to remove wakelocks and ensure deep sleep lol. Nowadays should just be able to use it without worrying about battery life, battery tech needs to improve.

Oh I had a to few pixel none work with volte on starhub. Even pixel 2 which is available locally. Signal drop back to 3g when on call and the speed is crawling when surfing during call
Really ? I was under the impression from other forum members that Pixels VOLTE will work if using Singtel or Starhub plans. You had to enable 4g clear voice with SingTel first though. Not sure about Starhub.

oh no i also using vpost. wah..
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but vPost does not ship cause of battery. Yesterday called ezbuy to ask about ezShip sensitive air shipping also not available for Taiwan. Currently trying to get FedEx to pick up my parcel from vPost, but vPost unresponsive. Will update accordingly.

My P6 just shipped out to my friend in US. Will arrive this week.

Anyone have any experience/suggestions to ship from US to SG?

Did send mine to ezship warehouse when i purchase from G store tw for pixel 5. Did not mention of sensitive air shipping but just include shipping + insurance cost.. no repackaging provided as well. Not sure if this option is still avail.

Quick question last time your parcel box did they paste the UN3481 label to indicate that inside the box has battery?

Any idea if the pixel phones will be able to use 5G here in SG? Particularly those from Taiwan, USA and UK.

Those who got their Pixel6, any reviews?
Almost 24 hours liao.
  • Size and weight is HUGE compared to Pixel 5.
  • Very slippery. :(
  • Battery is good - lot of games, google maps when driving, youtube music (major battery guzzler), still left 52%. Slightly lesser than Pixel 5. Phone was still syncing Google Photos though, so likely to be better tomorrow. I turned off adaptive battery.
  • Speed is noticeable better than Pixel 5. No signs of throttling.
  • Fingerprint...... SUCKS when compared to Pixel 5. Maybe it's something to get used to. It's testing my patience. Not much choice as phones nowadays are on screen fingerprint. :(
Overall good, likely need time to adjust. Biggest reason for upgrade was for video recording, which I haven't tested yet.

The weight is definitely a big reason for me to not consider Pixel 6.
Previously, I had a phone that was 185g and felt that was already too heavy.

Should leave adaptive battery on after you finished sync up of data.
I think this and adaptive charging are 2 of the best features pixel has added in last few years.

Fingerprint unless hardware issue, have chance to improve over time with software updates.
I'm interested in the video recording too, reviews vary wildly between below average and good but not great.

Ya, it's quite heavy, premium / full glass I guess? I prefer my phone to be 100% performance all the time, especially when it comes to notification. Video recording are mostly very good, much better than previous. Just not close to iphone at night, will need to manually reduce the brightness / iso to compete.
