Ya, got my stormy black p6p 256gb 26hrs ago



I beg to differ.
Heat is ok, gets warm but nothing unbearable. Nothing to worry at all.
Weight wise, I was using s21U so it got lighter! It’s nothing compared to when I’m using a Fold 2.
Also I’m used to single handling iPad Pro 12inch 2021 so it’s very manageable.
Camera is up there with the big boys for sure, snappier than s21U which is quite noticeable in lower light settings so I consider it superior vs s21U generally till you zoom >10X. S21U is the winner in stable looong zoom.
As expected, it loses out to Vivo X70p+ in human shot and low light and video stability (this one is the king of Imaging for human subject & lowlight in 2021 smartphones).
I was playing and shooting my 5yo’s birthday cake session for 2hrs ish in fairly low light condition with fidgety kids.
P6p is likely the best choice for HDR shots.
I don’t have SP applied yet, so fingerprint sensor works like a charm, just that wee bit slower than s21U (which is the gold standard in 2021)
For crashed apps, just reinstall and all issues resolved, that’s true so far, at least for my encounters with my 107+ apps (I initially transferred them from s21U)
Battery seemed ok, trending towards 4.5-5hr screen on time, (s21U is 6-6.5hrs for me)
Better batt life than X1iii
Pixel is smooooth! Although I find VX70p+ to be speedier in terms of app d/l and installation.
S21U have better speakers.
P6p have very nice clicky buttons and very nice haptics
I really really hate the vanilla Android 12 app drawer, it’s a handicap … so I downloaded 3rd party launcher… that’s what I hated most so far.
Otherwise, I’m impressed, p60p is a great phone and is a worthy flagship.
The negativity & bad reviews are likely due to outrageous expectations. (Probably the wrath of both fruit & sam fans) . Does one expect pixels to dethrone the iPhones & galaxies? LOL, they will co exist (romance of 3 kingdoms is awesome)
And, yes, it’s replacing s21U as my main driver.
I haven’t used a Samsung flagship phone for >5months since galaxy s2 till s21U and after 10 months, it’s slowing down (just that little but it’s noticeable)… Sammy & their notorious slowdowns (mine is the HK SD version btw)

Spot on on everything especially the exaggeration on all the review flaws . That app installation is a bit slower as compare ,I'm finding it weird....

But better put on a tpu film ba..... Micro scratches is almost a certain after a few days use. And it doesn't affect a fingerprint sensor

got the dbrand grip case for p6, very solid and robust, and good grip and feel
fully trust it to protect and nice on the hand

try booting into safe mode and check if you are able to replicate the battery drain issue.
this will help to isolate if it your apps installed causing drain.

Surprise update from Google, apparently it fixed the finger print scanner, although 8 never had a problem with it.

Update hasn't been pushed to all countries, but if u want u can sideload it. More instructions in the link in the Reddit post

sold already haha.. probably just doesnt excite me enough.. to be fair, i only fiddled with it for less than an hour or so therefore not really qualified to give a full review. and i am also not a sammy fanboy in case one thinks that i am biased against pixels.
However, one interesting thing i noted was that i can do a screenshot by tapping on the back of the phone.

Yes, China ROM, origin OS which is manageable but you get the occasional prompts in mandarin.
