I thought SG set will require mmWave in order for 5G to work so material cost is higher than US unlocked set already.
look at my reply above with info from Google themselves.. it explicitly says Singtel and Starhub are sub-6 for Pixel 6

Am a pixel 4a user looking to upgrade. Been thinking if i should get this or wait for Samsung S22. The only thing that disappoint me is the slow fingerprint sensor. Why can't Google use the faster ultrasonic for a flagship phone.
Fingerprint issue has been overblown in reviews.. S21 ultra doesn't even much faster.. it's probably just a . second diff. Just wait for the demo unit to try it out.

What's meant by sub-6?
sub-6 standard is the most common 5G around and you can consider it the default 5G globally

mmwave is a higher speed 5G but suffers from very short range and is affected by buildings and obstacles very easily, so antennas have to be installed every corner inside and outside buildings.

Actually, it is really noticeably worst off for me coming from OnePlus 8 pro, plus OP8p has the dual unlock option of fingerprint + face unlock which is something I def miss. I love my p6p but I do feel OP8p was a better "flagship" in their own time. :D.

Hope the upcoming updates will solve all the issues I'm having with my current p6p.
- less than ideal fingerprint sensor
- battery drain on network standby and my brokerage app, it's so bad I went to sleep at 1.30am with 35% battery and woke up at 8am with my battery dead
- drop framerates, but it should improve as developers optimize their apps with android 12

Face unlock may be coming to Pixel 6 in future update.

Because it has been going downhill since Carl Pei left. OnePlus have "returned" to Oppo and oxygenOS will never be the same.

OnePlus 7T using sticking with oxygenOS 10 here, still waiting for my qoo10 P6 that will only be shipped end December....

Thanks for the reminder about CP, didn’t know OxygenOS will be affected. If it becomes the same as Oppo, then I guess it is a reason for some users to leave.

Yea. OnePlus is kinda becoming the villian it swore to defeat. Like Anakin turning to the dark side :'(

I'm still optimistic about pixel! I owned every iteration, even 1 (imported) to 4. Skip 5 because OnePlus 7t pro won me over with the full uninterrupted 90 Hz screen. Loved it so much that I change it to an OP8p shortly after. But after a year + of use. And with colorOS coming up. OnePlus no longer feels like the oneplus everyone was raving about.
