The video got show he compare it with iPhone. Both 60Hz, but can see 6a is choppy.
Stock Android phone animations has always been choppier than iOS animations.
It's 3rd party phone manufacturers who reskin the OS and high refresh display that help to mask it.

Which means the review is true, really is choppier as compared to other 60hz.

Yeap. Then I'll wait for P7. My fear is that the price of the basic model would be super high. At least P6a I can offload Fitbit charge (has to be lower than anybody else) and P4a 5g. My P3XL is busted with no warranty. Have to pay to get it fixed as a backup phone. Urgh.
How much you willing to let go of your 4a haha

I will let you know when I have the 6a in my hands. But then again you might still choose to have a different opinion. I can only based my experience off my Pixel 4a right now.

This is why on all my android phones, I always enable faster animation in the developer settings. I don't need to see the fancy transitions, just get me to where I need to be ASAP.

Yes please. I also sitting on the fence with my 4a, would like to know the actual UX from someone with the same upgrade path.

Depends on whether Qualcomm are going to customized the SoC for gen 2 ( remember Kyra cores ? )
There's an article that talks why SD8 gen 1 has been underwhelming.
I think mostly it's Samsung fab? Also partly because of ARM's design. there a pretty in-depth video comparing and analysing a ton of mobile chips. And from the same channel, they have another newer video testing SD8+ Gen 1 with TSMC fab, and it has noticeable improvements. Just not quite at Apple A15 level :ROFLMAO:

I went to get a feel of the Pixel 6a yesterday at Challenger Bugis. The Google sales rep was surprised that the magic eraser feature disappeared from the photo edit. She said the feature was there earlier in the day. Did the feature disappear from a recent android update?
