I think for telephoto it works well for its function.

Anything from 1.1x to 4.9x is digital zoom anyway.

they should just stick to 4x zoom with the same sensor as pixel 6 pro... a smaller sensor will affect especially night shooting and noise levels.

I don't disagree that ultrasonic sensor might be the better tech.
My doubts are towards their Pixel software/hardware team
If their team is not reliable, better to stick with what works
