Hi

Though of getting the Pixel Buds Pro with the $250 Voucher.. bought it then saw some people complain about lag in video etc.. then cancelled. Anyone has issues? To me video lag is a big concern!

Thanks.
Did those "some people" indicate what player they were using ?
If the app is poorly optimized, it might be the cause instead of the earbuds.

Nope, that's the promo price now, + i still got $300 credit from the initial p7p purchase, so just over 1k, then claim GST when coming back, so under 1k for p7p. Really good deal.. i might just buy it and see what to do with it later on
After trade in , is it ? :sneaky:

The price doesn't revert to SRP when applying credit ? SG Google store always does this, xianz 1/2

video / sound lag - hopefully they fix it via a software update.
not hard. many TVs / sound bars have ability to sync the sound and video.

i used it for youtube - didn't seem to have any lag.
Thanks. Decided to stay clear and get Airpods Pro 2 instead.

How is everyone pixel 7 going for a month or 2 months?

Battery life to me at least on standby dual network mode seems ok. Average within the day, as I find a charger I just do a quick top up.

Battery is on average 1 day battery. At the end of the day going to bed then charge.

At times leaving home with 50% battery I'm still able to get through at least half a day.

Most of the annoying bugs are solved. Portrait and orientation mode works well in YouTube. 3g/4g toggling/handover is working as per normal. 5g reporting strength so far still can be improved.
Agree on your observations. Where mobile reception is performing fine, wifi reception is disappointing for me without a mesh system my bedroom cannot reliably get good signal from my Ax86u router.

But it's an improved device compared to early days thanks to firmware updates. I can see improvements to fingerprint reader, system and UI stability and camera performance.

eh how ah?
at the login page, u click on the "Fingerprint" icon ?

If it's the same as other bank apps(DBS, Citibank, SC etc),
Login using your UserID and password first.. after login, look for your settings/preferences.. inside should have option to enable fingerprint login...

Once u enabled it, your next login should be using fingerprint by default.

Is quite solid on wifi actually. Haven't seen any phone this fast...

What's your router and how close are you to it? Any obstacles in between?

Are you using p7 or p7 pro?

Seems like you're on 2gbps with a multi-Gigabit-capable Wi-Fi 6 router.

Mine only 408 up and 480 down with 1gbps plan from m1 with 1 thick wall between me and the router.

Using p7pro

1Gbps plan with Singtel, using wifi6 router Linksys E8450.

Phone is used from a room blocked by wall. Router in living room... Not using AP/mesh.

Chiur house big is it?
No idea, anyone else free to update their WiFi speed?

Wifi 6 can go extremely fast. The transmit speed you see on phone is the theoretical speed between your device with the AP/Router. Not your internet speed.

Like for instance. My house AP is TP link Omada EAP670. Wifi speed ax5400.

AX = Wifi 6
5400 = total throughput of 5ghz and 2.4ghz

In this case my EAP670 with wifi 6 devices. I can go up to 4804Mbps on 5Ghz band. And 574Mbps for 2.4Ghz band. (Assuming no other devices connected).

However thats only between you and the router only. Or rather internal LAN between devices that can utilise this speed. So say if I have a 5Ghz able to go 4804Mbps, if I have another PC or storage server that has a 5Gbps LAN, I can transfer things from my devices to the PC or storage server utilising the full speed.

For internet pipeline. It is what you subscribe with your ISP. Say you have 1Gbps. So even if you have a very capable fast speed router/AP wifi that is ax5400. You won't exceed the 1Gbps for internet.

Hope I explain layman enough.

I just came back from Krabi. I'm using Simba / TPG. I realized I can recieved call normally. No need to use the Simba/TPG voice call app.
