suspect my phone charging regulator bricked.

reset the whole phone still the same. max 6 or 7 w charging when battery shows 50%. looks like this CNY no need to use already.


got to wait until next week to bring to service centre.

sent in - suspect motherboard issue. The charging time was increasing even when they used their own charger.

They basically changed the motherboard (new Imei) , back case, front screen and new battery. sounds like everything was new.

Can confirm. My P7Pro do not have 5G Gomo as well.

tried with my wife's sim card. gomo 5g works. shows 5G instead of LTE on my 7Pro.

make sure preferred network is set to 5G .

but I am not sure if it is worth the extra $5 per month for gomo 5G. I upgraded the plan just to try for fun..

did everyone make sure the sim card is the latest 5G sim card ?

I know for example , M1 and Singtel, if you are an old customer and never changed sim card for a long time , to use 5G , you need the newer sim card.

I'm using P7Pro and on Gomo, I am able to get 5G signals.

I've a weird problem though, that seemed to be raised by a few others online. Certain parts of the screen will get unresponsive once in a while, especially the corners or at the bottom. A little annoying but not sure if it is a hardware or software problem.

confirm you are on the 5G plan? pay $5 per month more? 5G is not by default, you have to subscribe for the 5G plans.
last year jul - i think should be 5g sim card already.

local set ? different countries sets use different 5G bands and freqs.

I agree. Was using M1 during COVID period, can't enter malls using TT app if the entrance is underground. Forced to use the token instead.

Yup same. Quite apparent when using WhatsApp coz the back button from chats is in the top left, and the keyboard is at the bottom. I'm hoping it's a software problem and can be patched. Don't want to waste the WSD protector that I have on.

Finally got rid of M1 and am now on Starhub. And believe it or not, my battery drain has been lesser throughout the day now. I noticed right when I switched from singtel to M1, while at work my phone seemed to be draining battery a lot faster than usual. My phone will be in my pocket and mostly untouched. I will notice that the battery will be at 70%+ when it was usually in the high 80s. And towards the end of the work day my battery was hovering in the low 60's percentage when it was previously mid 70's. I kept thinking there was a rogue app causing wakelocks. So I installed BetterBatteryStats and found nothing out of the norm. But since I didnt have anything to prove at the time, I cant say much.

Until I switched to starhub and noticed right away that my battery life is pretty much back to when I was using singtel on the P7. My phone usage habits has not changed one bit throughout this entire time.

Pretty convinced now that M1 is unusable for pixel 7 users. Whatever their network is running on, its not playing well with the P7 baseband at all. Not only was my LTE/5G reliability utter garbage, but as a bonus its massively draining battery too. What a lose lose case. I wouldn't even use it even if M1 gave me free subscription.

For those of you having mediocre battery life on the P7 or P7P and are on M1, maybe its not neecessarily the phone after all.

It gets even hotter when you are doing rapid charging. That's why Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Charging features are in this phone to prolong lifespan of battery.

When the reception is lagging, wifi searching, more intense gaming, prolonged youtube/video playbacks, phone will heat up too.

Makes you want to attach a ice pack to it permanently... =(

collected back, they didn't change screen; screen protector still on, only load system, they only took one day but I didn't collect immediately
