I don't own a pixel 6 to compare but battery life has been fantastic for my Pixel 6a. Probably because I am not using 5G + not a heavy user. Usually left with 30~40% on 12 hours usage cycle.

Google took almost a year to fix issues on the 6 series. these lessons learned also help google to iron out any issues faced with the 6a

Given Google's inexperience in designing their own SOC I doubt Tensor 2 will be radically different from first gen. Finger crossed it will be "boring"/safe upgrade
