I just realised that Singapore model of P7 Pro doesn't has WiFi 6e. Any idea if Google can enable it in the future via firmware update when Wifi 6e is eventually allowed by the Government?
Forget wifi 6E man. Wifi 6E will eventually be a short live thing. Take a look at tp link. They already announced wifi 7 products from consumer to enterprise grade.

All along the Wifi with E behind is always a short lived thing. SG IMDA will never approve this kind when they know that the next wifi will be out soon.

Ohh I thought it was because of my cheapo screen protector lol, I also feel why the screen feel hollow and I compare to my old phone which is solid and I thought it was maybe cos of my screen protector 😂😂

PS: just did a quick Google and turns out it was due to the curved screen.
The hollowness come from the design. This design means that it's easier to replace the screen because it's not bonded to the mid frame like other phones do.

This comes with a price, like you said hollowness and also heat dissipation. Conventional design allows the screen to dissipate heat from the SoC as the screen is bonded to a vapor chamber. Similar designs found in the Surface tablet lineup with heat spreader going to the screen.

The pixel screen doesn't bond to a vapor chamber and hence the SoC has to dissipate heat through the back of the phone which explains why people complain abt the phone being hotter than other phones. People hold the back phone more often than the front and thus can felt the heat more.

To add. the graphite thermal tape has a larger surface area over the hot parts of the p7 than the p6, hence is warm than hot

Nowadays phone do get warm. With sd8g1 and the current upcoming furnace also an issue to cool.

With so many transistor packed into 1 small die area, cooling is definitely an issue. Is just how well the passive cooling gonna give you the sustained performance in the long run. Some phones get away with bigger vapour chamber. Some use the entire chassis of the phone as a "bigger heat exchanger" and allow the outside ambient to cool it.

There are many brands that do skimp on cooling. But from the teardown of the P7p, they use a large graphite pad and use the chassis to passively cool the phone. Warm but not till hot and cannot touch.

Mind you our SG climate is another issue. Our ambient outside is already 35degC. Phones at outside area sure more than 35degC.

Anyone able to set the routine to turn on WiFi after dismissing an alarm (when WiFi/Data is off)?

I have a habit of turning off WiFi/BT etc before going to sleep.

When I tried, Google Assistant prompt that it needs internet connection to work :(

Applied the Spigen glastr tempered glastr align master on my p7. Used to have wsd. Smoothness and fingerprint sensing is comparable to wsd. The Spigen doesn't use glue so it's easier to apply. No cutout for the selfie camera which I prefer also as it doesn't gather dust in the hole. And cheaper than wsd.

The free 3 months also got expiry for you to claim.

Fellow pixel 7 owners who have work profiles, can I ask if your work apps are already on MDM? Or we can designate let's say outlook on a work profile?
