Seems like they're slowly turning Pixels to focus on top end of the market. However with the promise for security updates till July 2027 for 6a, it does make more sense to wait for price cuts on pixel 6a once 7a is launched. Your brackets are then:
Budget: 6a (wait for black friday/ shopee sale etc and stack vouchers)
Midrange 7a
Top: 7/7pro depending on camera and spec needs.
Early Adopter: Pixel fold and other special types.
