I assume that's a yes. And if that's the case, it wouldn't matter because you would have bought it nonetheless. Just like Apple users who complain there's nothing new with the new iPhone and proceeds to buy it anyway.

I missed the native photo burst feature that was replaced by the stupid short video thingy, and at low resolution no less.

Google reportedly will be fixing the scrolling issue in Android 15, so it may not be a hardware problem.

But yes, like limmk, I have a love-hate relationship with Pixel phones, and unfortunately, there isn't any other phone in the market that interests me. Nothing phone is the only other phone where I can tolerate the UI, but the phone's chip is two-generation old and I'm not sure if the camera can beat Pixel.

The one thing that interest me is this Boost mode for night scene videos, looks waaaaay better than the s**tty noisy night scene videos with my Pixel 7 Pro.

But it requires uploading to G cloud for processing and ? upscaling.

Anyone tried ?

Video boost does seem promising, but it's painfully slow 🐢

That's what makes it more annoying for me as a user. Like they say can simply don't buy pixel but there's no other OEM I'd rather go to now other than Google or Apple.

I've run through the gauntlet of brands/OSes and this is what I've settled on, but Pixel phones are just full of inconsistencies.

Maybe I'd finally go for iOS after they remove the ugly notch.

TL;DR
  • Google has announced that OnePlus and OPPO phones will get Gemini-powered features like summaries and an AI toolbox.
  • The smartphone brands also said they plan to be the first to launch AI features based on Gemini Ultra.
  • By contrast, Google and Samsung use the less capable Gemini Nano and Gemini Pro AI models on their phones.

Google warranty is 2 years, but they playing punk with me say its 1 year. Disgrace such a large MNC wanna cheat consumers.

Hardware Limited Warranty — Singapore

This warranty applies if you purchased your mobile phone (“Phone”) in Singapore.
Limited Warranty
Google warrants that the Phone will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use as described in the user guide for two years for the phone and one year for accessories from the date of original purchase by you anywhere in Singapore (“Limited Warranty”). This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in Singapore and will apply only if you have purchased your Phone from Google or its authorised resellers. This Limited Warranty can be redeemed anywhere in Singapore where the Phone is offered for sale.
This Limited Warranty only applies to hardware components (and not to any software elements) of the Phone and does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation), neglect, disassembly, alterations and external causes, such as, but not limited to, extreme thermal or environmental conditions. This Limited Warranty does not guarantee that use of the Phone will be uninterrupted or error-free.

What issue are you trying to resolve with CDTI? I remember it's 1 year warranty but apparently the fine print says otherwise.

Edit:
Both phones have a one-year Google-backed warranty in Singapore (shorter than the two-year warranty in Europe, the U.K. and Australia).
