Finally sold my Pixel 8 Pro, currently using S23 Ultra, I dont see any upgrade comparing to ny phone.
1. Photo/video quality not great compared to S23 Ultra
2. Big surprize: software looks buggy, scrolling got issues, while taking photos screen goes blank for fraction of second
3. Magic Editor hit & miss, plus you are forced to take back up 1st, in term of normal editing I like to make skies Blue, which one can do using Google Photos in any android phone
4. For screen although it says max 2400 nits brightness, under direct sunlight you will still prefer Galaxy screen.

Note: no bashing or hate comments, I am not Samsung fan, just waiting for a phone which is better than Samsung!

Maybe when Huawei allowed to use Google again then that will be the next best phone. 😂

Someone bought this from Amazon
Any reviews? It's $15 now but got a 1 star

T Tersely [2 Packs] Screen Protector for Google Pixel 8 Pro 2023 (6.5 inch), Premium HD Tempered Glass Screen Protector Film [9H Hardness][Case Friendly] for Google Pixel 8 Pro 2023 (6.5 inch) https://amzn.asia/d/9a5Mbyh

I bought this from Amazon and it is easy to apply since Pixel 8 Pro's screen is flat this time around. It's decent for it's price and fingerprint scanner works perfectly well after applying this screen protector.

The trick to applying this is to align the camera hole first and check the alignment of borders to left and right. Then just apply a slight pressure on the screen. You will see it sticking by itself slowly from top to bottom. If there are any bubbles after applying, you need to squeeze them to the nearest corners.

Eh, I think your point no. 1 is not true leh. Everything else I don't disagree but the photo quality from Pixel 8 Pro is objectively better than the S23 Ultra.

Does anyone have issues installing Google Pay?
I only have Google Wallet which doesn't allow pay to phone number or scan to pay (unless I'm missing something).
When I try to download Google Pay, I get an error saying that my "device isn't compatible with this version"

Just received SMS notification from GOMO on new SIM card replacement required for use on Pixel 8 Pro. Arranged appointment for delivery with their chat agent on this. Hope after Tuesday night I will be able to start using my new pixel 8 pro.

1. All the reviews thus far say Pixel has better photo/video quality. Ultra HDR is amazing, and their implementation of HDR on video recording is much improved.
2. These are temporarily (same thing as Pixel 6 and 7). Software will be fixed/patched over next month or so.
3. More of a fun thing and depends on your use case. I've found it incredibly useful for moving people closer together and portrait blur (AI sometimes does a matter crop than the normal controls).
4. Samsung has the best screens, not even close.

Samsung has the best hardware, and if you deem Google stuff not useful, there isn't much of a reason to go Pixel. :)

Now in Japan. The IIJ SIM card doesn't work very well as it disconnect and reconnect frequently. Sometimes even H (3G) speed.

Same card for iPhone 13 Pro no issue, LTE all the way

I concur. Samsung doesn’t give me confidence to capture the moment. Pixel and iPhone does., hence I sold my S23U for the P8P

Does changing the country/region/language to English(US) enable the "Summarize" feature?

Why le? Just curious, is it blurry or unreal or?

I take photos with my POCO F3, feel like there's something missing, that's why I use my partner's iPhone to take photos most of the time.

Don't think so, I changed to English (US) because the auto space after punctuation in Gboard is only available to US English. Ask GAssistant to summarize, "Sorry, I can't summarize this device yet."
