My last order in April, DHL Express picked up at 4:30pm in HK. Item delivered to me the next day 2pm.
3 days earlier than Google estimated delivery date.

It's more like their strategy in managing user expectation.
ETA 5 Sept but shipped any earlier date, happy customer.
ETA 4 Sept and delayed shipment, all nasty customer starts flooding their hotline.
My past experience with Google and Apple are always good.
