My Aus set have, 24/7 min-to-min support, through chat/email/call/Google assist.

Few days ago asked about Google daydream support, straight away got (irc-like) chat operator answer my queries. :look:

Are you in Australia? Do you still have the 24 hr helpdesk when you're in SG?

Only "down"side is no Daydream VR set...those who owns US set are you entitled the free daydream?

Oh right.. Aus Google account.. no wonder

nope, on uk set. probably due to geolocation.

but my nexus 6p on beta 7.1.1 also dont have and it local set. :s22:

Most likely it's because the support is Google support, not Huawei support. Google never released N6P in SG, hence no Google support in SG.

Any clues on whether Canada gets the US set or RoW set? Might ask a friend to get one for me.

Cover, as in warranty cover or shipping cost?

Warranty yes, shipping no. You will get a refurbished set.

You will need to use a forwarder, i.e., ship your device to forwarder (pay your own shipping + forwarder service fee), then ask forwarder to ship to Google (this part of shipping is covered by Google).

Anybody tried this way? Worst comes to worst needs to claim...
Hopefully not....

Anyway carousell seller will give actual receipt from australia

I have done that, that's why I know the process, but the order was my Google order not someone else's order.

I believe Google will have to ship to the original shipping address, or at least what is provided by the original account sold to.

Yup correct, also gotta pay the full amount of the device before Google will ship the replacement device. That's why I mentioned that most likely Google won't accept warranty claim/RMA if not from the original account which the order was placed with.

Battery life i got from yesterday night. At this point i turned off the "OK Google" activation already, but kept Google now and assistant on. To be fair i did quite a bit of reading on chrome, so probably that explains the higher SOT. Did a bit of games, and youtube watching too. Still pretty impressive compared to the Nexus 5X with only a 70mAh bigger battery.

On the first day i only got around 3.5 hrs of SOT, probably because it's still optimising things. After that stabilised to at least an estimated 4+ hrs of SOT every day. It lasts me a day of use quite easily.

Also I am not a heavy apps user, so my mileage is probably a bit better than most people.

Now this become the actual case of risk without waranty.
Seems like buying from resale person is not safe unless he can entertain for RMA/claim process which I doubt highly.

How about those sets that are bought from retailers? eg; JB Hifi, Clove etc

The Google phone is tagged to the account owner. If there is any issues with the phone, the account owner will need to contact Google directly.

Are you saying that for phones that are bought from retailers, we would have to get the retailers to do the warranty claims for us as theoretically they are the original buyer of the phones?

I don't think so. But it depends on the shop selling the phone. If they aren't the official retailers then it will be like what the others mention.

If the retailer is listed in Google play store like JB hifi or best buy then no worries on the warranty. Either can contact retailer or direct should be fine too. You give retailer they also send to google on your behalf.

Say for instance, I buy from JB Hifi when I go Australia

When back in Singapore, if phone spoil, just contact Google?
