So has anyone else experienced microphone issues?

Yes. Mine is intermittent.

It happens when I put to speaker mode while waiting for the other side ie phone banking. After a few minutes of waiting, the other side cannot hear.

I try to lower the volume and I think it helps.

Sounds like some noise canceling problem.

Try removing any case and test again

I let u guys know once i receive the phone tmr. But shipping alone is AUS $89. Think for the next Pixel, maybe can get direct from UK or Aus again.

Without casing is not an acceptable solution for me. Even if it works, I wouldn't use without casing. Lowering the volume works because less heat dissipated.
