I think it is carrier locked. Singapore not included.
So LTE version won't work in SG? Since it is eSIM which means only M1 currently offers eSIM.

Anyway, for Wifi version, if i forgotten to bring out my phone, will the watch still able to retrieve WA msg and synchronisation with the phone assuming the watch is able to connect to wifi?

It's not a luxury watch mah. Better wear a watch condom than
Pixel-Watch-RIP-1200x900-cropped.jpg
it applies the same to luxury watches too. of cos u just hv to pay to repair for luxury watch but pixel watch just buys a new one since it is a more like a toy.

I wouldn't say $400 is a toy, but no harm adding a $2 wrapper to extend the life of your watch.

Also, it is not just the money, the need to setup/pair a new wear device is stil quite painful,

Not sure about WA, but wifi would allow your watch app to to connect directly, bypassing the phone.
But... Wifi also sucks the battery of your watch.

Just managed your expectation. I have been disappointed by Google too often.

I just watched this review .

Kind of disappointed with the new pixel watch. it seems half bake or Google can't bear to kill Fitbit that they bought over years ago.... the integration kind of not here nor there.

And importantly, the battery life sucks. maybe should just skip the 1st gen product...

was surprise to hear the battery life sucks... Google/ pixel products never have good battery life it seems but the new pixel is getting better after using their own chip. Google shld develop their own chip for wearable OS too.

Haha... Yet to see those who wear luxury watches buying case and protection for their watches.
Sorry just thinking that a watch needs this kind of protection, is it still a watch?

Google 1st products are always like this, at least they took the 1st step..next generation will be much much better.

By Pixel 9 i think all android users will be totally in Google ecosystem (and satisfied)

Still no stock but will probably skip this version.
My Fossil is still working well, though I need to turn off a number of things to manage battery life.
